Guidelines for Distribution of Holy Communion.
In Castleisland Parish Church
at Week-End Masses:
1. Four Eucharistic Ministers at the front of the church – one with celebrant at the middle and one on each side.
2. Three additional ministers will go to the Communion Stations in the middle of the Church and distribute Communion from a fixed position without moving forward.
3. When they have completed distribution at these stations they check to see if there are any people in the open seats that require Communion brought to them.
4. Finally these ministers go to the three communion stations at the back of the Church to complete the distribution of Communion.
We will review these changes in a month or so to make sure that Communion is distributed in a dignified and respectful manner.
We invite all those attending Mass to stay in their places until after the final Blessing.
Many thanks for your cooperation.
