AGENDA

1. Apologies.

To note apologies from absent Councillors.

2. Declaration of interests.

To allow Councillors an opportunity to declare any personal interests prejudicial to items on the agenda. Any interests will be noted in the minutes.

3. Minutes.

To authorize the Chairman to sign the minutes of the meeting held on 9th July 2014 as a true record.

4. Agenda Items

a. Allotments: Business Plan has been submitted. Update from Cllrs Holland and Devereux

b. As suggested at previous meeting – decide on appropriate gift for volunteers who cut the grass verges/maintain flower beds in the village.

c. To note that repair work to Lonnings has commenced. Funding from the budget of Councillor Bill Graham (£1650.00) has been credited to the Parish Council account for this purpose.

d. To discuss and decide on an appropriate policy regarding events taking place in the village which are not for parishioners as such. i.e. the wedding which took place on the Marr in late July.

e. Following on from previous meeting – update on request from parishioner to place a memorial bench on the Marr

f. Request from Castle Carrock Leek club to erect a small marquee on the Marr - 13th Sept.

g. Request from St Peter’s restoration committee to erect a small marquee on the Marr for the Autumn Show.

h. Request from Geltsdale Arts to hold Music on the Marr 2015 between the dates of 16th – 19th July.

i. Request by Geltsdale Arts to carry out groundwork on the Marr to level the surface and remove one tree.

j. To discuss the potential development plans by the Church Commission for the Glebe Field in relation to the ‘local plan’ detailing parishioner’s opinions.

5. Correspondence – letters and emails received to be viewed and discussed where appropriate. Separate list available at meeting.

6. Financial Matters - Statement of account and bills to pay as follows

a. Cheque to St Peters Church for donation to Autumn Show prizes, as discussed at previous meeting. £10

b. Reimbursement for office expenses to parish clerk. £7.00

c. Reimbursement to Cllr. Holland for Allotment Association membership fee - £66.00

d. To note that a ‘Parish Grant’ from Carlisle City Council has been credited to the account - £491.00

7. Planning Matters

a. 14/0493 Revised Application for erection of 1 dwelling on land opposite Hallsteads (Mason/Baker) –Granted permission

b. 14/0509 – Variation condition of App 13/0841 – Land behind Townfoot Farm (Briggs) Addition of garages. Granted permission. Work commenced

c. 14/0745- Erection of single storey rear extension to provide garden room and pitched roof over existing garage – “Poacher’s Pocket”. R Clark.
