Dear Sixth Grade Parents,

Our students will have the opportunity to attend the Texas A&M field tripin October and we need your help with the following items, if you elect for your student to participate:

  • Return the medical release form (attached) by Wednesday, September 28th. If the form is not returned by this date, the student will be unable to attend.
  • Inform your student if they will be eating a sack lunch from the school cafeteria on their designated day OR will be taking a lunch from home.
  • If the student is attending, he/she must be here no later than 8:30 on that date. The busses will depart promptly at 8:45.
  • We encourage students to eat breakfast at home on that day, as we will begin loading the busses at 8:25.
  • We encourage students to bring a snack, as they will have an early lunch on the bus trip to Texas A&M and may get hungry on the way back from the trip.
  • Please leave backpacks at home on that day.

Below are the designated days for each team:

October 4-Team Rice (Windsor, Tolleson, Pelletier, Kirkland)

October 3-Team A&M (Tomei, Chesser, Franklin, Jenkins) and Kirkpatrick

October 5-Team Stanford (Meyer, H. Wells, Lambert, Cooper)

Chaperones and other adults attending the fieldtrip may NOT bring siblings or children. Chaperones will be required to attend a chaperon orientation on the morning of their field trip at 7:50 am in the Conference room.

Queridos Padres de Estudiantes del Sexto Grado,

Próximamente nuestros estudiantes van atender un viaje al colegio de Texas A&M y necesitamos su ayuda con las siguientes cosas y si su estudiante va a participar:

  • Completar y regresar la forma de consentimiento medico antes de Septiembre 30. Si la forma no está entregada para esta fecha, el estudiante no va a poder atender el viaje.
  • Informe a su estudiante si van a recibir la comida de la escuela (sack lunch) o van a traer e su casa. Vamos a contar cuantos lonches seránprovistos de la cafetería el día 17 de Septiembre.
  • Si el estudiante va atender el viaje, él o ella tienen que estar en la escuela antes de las 8:40 en la fecha del viaje. Los autobuses van a salir a las 8:45.
  • Animamos a los estudiantes que coman un desayuno en casa ese día, porque vamos a subir a los autobuses a las 8:25.
  • Animamos a los estudiantes que traigan una merienda, porque ellos/ellas van a comer en el autobús temprano en camino al colegio y puede ser que tengan hambre en el regreso.
  • Por favor dejen las mochilas en casa ese día.
