4. R R C Plant in Canning Vale

Running at only half capacity Rod Olsen is keeping a close eye on things. He informed us that more ducting had been places in the pitch of the roof.

5. Glenn Tatum informed us he had lodged concerns regarding the problems of odour omissions as is the case now at Canning Vale and he could see the same problems arising from the plant planned at Flynn Drive Industrial Estate Neerabup. The problem needs to be investigated and corrected and implemented into the design plan before it is signed off on.

We therefore support Dianne Guise’s letter to the Environment Minister and The Media Release to the press. “Guise doesn’t want Neerabup Plant to be on the nose”. Her efforts to bring these issues to light in Parliament and to get these issues thrashed out before any building takes place. As it is clear that there are faults in the design and the running of the Canning vale Plant. We also have had assurance from our Local Ward Councillors that they also support us in this issue.

6.Power Poles

A copy of Dianne’s email regarding the positioning of the Power Poles was handed out and a discussion on this followed. Concerns voiced were why was there only 24 hours or so notice to the meeting with Western Power at the City of Wanneroo Offices. And why was this meeting called as it was not a two way discussion we were just told what they were going to do. They did not seem to care about any other options but seemed to have already made up there minds as to were the poles were going and that was that.

7.Shops

Graeme Allan

Shops supposed to be ready now Easter 08. Not Xmas 07 as previously announced.

8.Website.

I have emailed Amanda Taylor to see if she could come along to one of our meeting to explain the quotes on the website. I have had no reply to date.
