Many thanks
'Many thanks to all my friends and neighbours who attended 'Irene's 50th Hoedown' in the Abbey Hall last Saturday. What a night! What a venue! All the visitors from the UK, Europe and even Monaghan(!) were blown away by the warm reception they received from our community; the facilities we have in the Abbey Hall and the general beauty and buzz of Graignamanagh. Special thanks to Rita and Jim Whelan for the superlative food; Montana for the fantastic music; Matt Givens for the lighting; The '50 Shadez' dancers; Ward Kinsella and Martin Hartley for the help with the hall/AV and Tom and Nellie Dowling for the straw!!! All the lovely giftsand goodwill were overwhelming and yet much appreciated. If this is 50 then things are not so bad at all... Irene McCormick (50 years young)'
