Introductions
1) NO MINUTES WERE TAKEN AT THE JUNE 16, 2010 CAAC AD MEETING
No Approval needed
2) APPROVAL OF JULY 2010 CAAC FINANCIAL REPORT
New budget passed out reflecting the Fund Balance Carry-over

3) PRESENTATION BY JOHN BRESLIN, REGIONAL CONSULTANT, VERSUS MEDICAL SOLUTIONS, LLC
Presentation by John Breslin on BioSkin braces and sleeves.
4) OLD BUSINESS:
-1. A. FOOTBALL NATIONAL ANTHEM – Lattig
Are we going to adopt the MHSAA Play-off policy for the National Anthem which is playing it at 6:55?
Ervin (St Johns) - Good thing from a PR standpoint.
Lattig (Mason) - This is a game sheet change.
Reyburn (DeWitt) - If we’re going to do it we need to do it as a league.
Bowles (Williamston) - We do it at 10 minutes before and have never heard anything.
Consensus was to make NO CHANGE at this time.
B. CAAC COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS – Lattig
Mike and Lattig will work on this. Red Division will run things. Each AD needs to be on 3 committees.
C. GAME SHEET UPDATES – Lattig
They are the CAAC website.
Volleyball Game Sheet needs to be modified - Sub-varsity coaches will do the lines on the varsity Volleyball games. The entire conference went to 2 officials at all levels.
D. Meeting Schedule – Lattig

E. Site Roster – Lattig
Needs to be updated.
5) NEW BUSINESS
A. CAAC BOOSTER MEETING – Lattig
Should we have a CAAC Booster Meeting inviting all Booster Club Presidents. Mason would host. Lattig will get a date set and get it out to you. Monday sounds like a good night.
B. CAAC DIRECTORY – Lattig
Get them updated at get them to Mike Conlin ASAP.
C. SCHOLAR ATHLETE BANQUET & HOST – Lattig
April 27th – DeWitt will host in 2011. Charlotte in 2012.
D. JV GIRLS GOLF SCHEDULES – Hunt
EL put together a JV girls golf schedule in the Blue division for our 4 school. If you want to be included please get with Hunt.
E. BOYS 9/JV (B) SOCCER SCHEDULES – Hunt
If you have a team and want to play get with Hunt or Schmidt.
F. CALL FOR FALL TEAMS - Lattig
We will do at the end of the meeting.
G. CHEER PAY - Piercefield
We have to come up with a Pay Scale for Cheer. Proposals were discussed last year but nothing was decided. Everything is frozen for this year.
$80 is the league meet fee – 5 officials. Varsity and JV only. Can’t add Middle School.
Ervin (St Johns) - Weekend Meets are the issue –

H. NEW SOCCER OVERTIME
Tom Minter (MHSAA) – Mandatory for MHSAA Tournament will be two 10 minute full period overtimes. Then go to the shoot out. Leagues can use any lesser combination of the MHSAA Tournament format.
Reyburn (DeWitt) - Conference games we go Sudden death, Cross-overs we just have a tie, Conference Tournament – Shoot-out -
MOTION by Holt to Use the MHSAA Overtime Procedure during the regular season conference games with the exception of no shoot-out. If it’s tied then it’s tied. Play a Shoot-out in the league tournament with no overtime periods.

I. MHSAA.TV - Ervin
Last year was a pilot. Now there are some fees involved. How are you paying the fees ($3,000 up front). I would like to know if anyone has a formalized rate.
Bowles (Williamston) – We are not paying the up front fee.
Ervin (St Johns) – By not paying up front you loose your 100% collection.
J. COACHES MEETING - Lattig
Schmidt (Holt) – We should have them meet under their new alignment for 2011-12.
Lattig (Mason) – Let’s look at this and come back to the Sept 9th meeting and pick dates etc. Holt will host.
K. VOLLEYBALL FEE - Lattig
$75 per official (2 officials)
L. SCHEDULING MEETING – Lattig
We need to get a scheduling meetings started. Spring Scheduling meeting is Sept 22 at Haslett.
M. LACROSSE – Reyburn
DeWitt will now have lacrosse.
Schmidt (Holt) - That will make lacrosse a League Sponsored Sport.
6) ANNOUNCEMENTS
A. All League Certificates are available to be picked up today.
B. League Dues Assessment was sent out by e-mail to everyone last night (Aug 17).
Lattig - September 15th will be a Combination Leagues Meeting @ DeWitt at 9:30am Board Office
Piercefield – Make sure you check out the New MHSAA Concussion Protocol.
Swinehart – Wrestling, Swimming & Tennis All League Teams. Need to look at this for the new re-alignment and how we can adjust this.

East Lansing – all teams including JV B soccer
Everett – no boys tennis
Grand Ledge– all teams including JV B soccer
Holt – all teams – by week 4 we will have 2 9th grade teams.
Jackson – all teams

Jackson Northwest – no JV tennis or JV football
Lumen Christi – no JV Tennis, no JV soccer
Mason – all teams
Owosso – no JV golf
Sexton – no JV soccer hopefully Varsity. May not have JV football
St. Johns – all teams

Charlotte – all teams including boys tennis and may add JV soccer

Eaton Rapids - no 9th FB
