“Capacity Building Concerning Presentation and Usage
of the General Government Financial Statistics”

“Capacity Building Concerning Presentation and Usage of the General Government Financial Statistics” is a Twinning Project between Italy and Turkey funded by the European Union in the frame of the EU Pre-Accession Assistance Programme.
In this Twinning Project the Directorate General of Public Accounts (DGPA) of the Ministry of Finance Turkey has worked for 24 months with the State General Accounting office of Ministry of Economy and Finance Italy, supported by the Italian National Statistical Office (ISTAT), CSI-Piemonte and Formez P.A.
The main objective of the Twinning Project has been to strengthen financial transparency by producing information adjusted according to different user needs and contributing to risk based management and audit.
In particular, within the project framework Citizens Budget was developed and Guidelines for Public Financial Analysis Techniques were produced.
This Dissemination Event is organized to present, disseminate and ensure that the achieved Twinning project outcomes are introduced and used in the provincial units of DGPA, the Local Authorities, Universities, Social Facilities, Public Entities and other stakeholders at the provincial level.
