General Announcements
Attention all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Are you interested in being a part of Canyon High School ASB? If so, applications are now available outside of the ASB office and are due no later thanFriday, April 27 at 3 pm.Please read and fill the applications out carefully. If you have any questions, please see Sr. Herincx in ASB.
Blanket Drive for the Homeless: Please bring new and barely used blankets to E-5 by April 27thto help the homeless.
SUAVEMENTE-NOCHE LATINA (Latino Dance):Canyon get ready! Our Latino Dance Team brings to you for a second year our Suavemente Dance on Friday, April 27that7:00pmin the CHS Main Gym. There will be tacos,elotes, horchata, etc. for sale so bring your money. The dress code is Semi Formal. See dancers or Mrs. Guzmán in room D5 to purchase pre-sale tickets $5 with ASB and $7 without. We hope to see you all there.
On Sunday, April 29th from 10am-5pm in the Q Building, Canyon Choir will be hosting our firstmattress fundraiser!Come get a better night’s sleep AND support the Canyon High School Choir Mattress Fundraiser! We will have over 27 styles of quality name-brand mattresses like Simmons Beautyrest on display at the High School Gym, priced UP to 50% off factory retail. AP Students: For those of you assigned to the AP Pre-Administration meeting on Friday, April 27th, the meeting will be held in H-1.The doors will close at 12:25 and NO late students will be allowed entry. Please make sure to bring a Number two pencil and pen. If you missed your meeting at any other time, please make sure to attend today!
"Career & College Readiness, aka CCR, is offering summer classes for the first time ever! If you were put on Ms. Brown’s interest list and would like to enroll in summer classes, please come and see her this week. The classes being offered this summer are

Seniors
The Canyon Theatre Guild is sponsoring 4 ($500) scholarships for SCV seniors with performing arts experience. The application is available in the Counseling Office. Application deadline is May 11, 2018.
TheTimandDannyRenoldsMemorialScholarshipis a $500 award. Senior boys who have participated in Canyon athletics with a cumulative GPA of 2.5-3.5 may apply for the award. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. Deadline to apply is 3:00pm on May 4th.
Seniors: Have you enjoyed your time at Canyon? Will you be hard to forget? The staff will be awarding a scholarship for a special Cowboy.Applications for the Canyon Staff Scholarship are in the counseling office.
It’s time to start preparing for our Graduation Ceremony. If you are interested in designing the artwork for the cover of the Commencement Program, please come to the AP Office for more information and details about the submission. Entries must be submitted byMay 7th. Also! If you're interested in speaking at the 2018 ceremony, the AP Office has the information about the requirements and audition process; sign up byMay 14th. We are all looking forward to a wonderful ceremony!
Seniors! It is time to purchase your ticket for this year's Senior Grad Bash at Universal Studioson May 24th! If you have a Senior Fun Pack, your ticket is already included. Otherwise you must buy your ticket separately for $160. There are only 140 tickets left to purchase so do not wait! Stop by the ASB office during brunch or lunch to secure your spot.
