Iceology and Power Skating !
Iceology
Iceology is NEW to USC this Spring. It is a session designed to improve the skating skills of all skaters focusing on edges, turns, stroking, and footwork. This is an excellent session for all freeskate and synchronized skaters. It is a fully coached program with a ratio of 5 skaters to 1 coach and each session is capped at 20 skaters. Private lessons will not occur on these sessions.
Day of the week: Tuesday
Location: Crosby Arena
Dates: April 12, April 19, April 26, May 3, May 10, May 17
Cost: $210 --this includes a t-shirt
3 time slots:
5:00-6:10pm: Bronze
Designed for the pre-intermediate and intermediate level skater working on preliminary and junior bronze skills and dances
6:20-7:35pm: Silver
Designed for intermediate and senior level skaters working on their senior bronze skills or higher
7:45-9:00pm: Gold
Designed for advanced level skaters only--please speak to your coach for direction
Power Skating: CanPower
The only nationally regulated Power Skating program in Canada! CanPowerSkate is an action-packed, high energy instructional power skating program geared to hockey and ringette skaters that focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance. Skills, techniques and conditioning drills are taught in a progressive format that emphasizes how the skills apply to game situations. CanPowerSkate provides an alternative to figure skating and is an excellent complement for those athletes playing on hockey or ringette teams. Its unique skill award program provides incentives and motivation for skaters to continue to achieve. 10:1 skater to coach ratio
