Training Services

Dogs can also be trained while being boarded at the Canine Sight Dog Training Services kennel. The cost for training is $25 per hour session, and owners are encouraged to consult with J David White to decide how many training sessions they would like for their dog to receive.

Boarding and Daily Schedule

Dogs boarded at Canine Sight Dog Training Services kennel are housed in crates. Dogs are fed twice daily (6 AMand 5 PM) unless different arrangements are made beforehand. Dogs are taken out of the kennel for regular potty breaks and play breaks, approximately every two hours, except for late evening to early morning (11 PM to 6 AM).

Items to Bring for Boarding Visit

Owners should bring enough food to feed the dog during the boarding stay and the food should be what the dog regularly eats at home. Bringing a dog to an unfamiliar environment (like a boarding kennel) can cause distress for the dog. However, by maintaining the dog’s regular dietary intake, it is less likely to experience gastrointestinal problems during its boarding stay. Owners should bring the leash on which their dog is regularly walked. Owners are welcome to bring their dog’s favorite bedding, blankets, chew toys, play toys, or any other reasonable items that will make their dog’s boarding stay more familiar and comfortable.

Pick Up Policy and Expectations

It is the owner’s responsibility to drop off and pick their dog at the Canine Sight Dog Training Services kennel. Unless prior arrangements have been made beforehand, individuals not authorized by the dog’s owners will not be allowed to pick up the dog, and the dog will remain in the care of J David White and Canine Sight Dog Training Services kennel until the owner can pick up the dog. Owners will be charged an extra day’s boarding fee if their dog is not picked up at the agreed-upon time (which is typically 5 PM after the workday) on the date ending the boarding stay. If any dog is not picked up within one week of the expected ending date of the boarding stay, the dog will be turned over to the Searcy Humane Society and will no longer be the responsibility of J David White and Canine Sight Dog Training Services, a division of White Dog Enterprises, LLC. Owners agree to pay any balance for boarding that extends beyond the expected ending date of the boarding stay.

Release of Liability and Expectation of Care

I, the undersigned, hereby release J David White and Canine Sight Dog Training Services, a division of White Dog Enterprises, LLC, from all liability while my dog isin his care. I understand that J David White is not a veterinarian and is only being employed for boarding and/or training purposes. I give permission for J David White to take my dogto the vet should my dog become ill in any way while being boarded at the Canine Sight Dog Training Services kennel. I will pay the veterinarian care bill upon returning and picking up my dog. Otherwise, my expectation is that J David White will provide attentive, protective, and nurturing care to my dogin a clean, disinfected boarding environment.

 IMPORTANT 

As owner of Canine Sight Dog Training Services, a division of White Dog Enterprises, LLC, I will not hold any owner responsible for medical expenses or other damages if I am bitten or otherwise injured by their dog. Please note, however, that if, in the course of working with a dog, I deem it necessary to put a muzzle on the dog to protect myself from excessive injury, I will do so without hesitation. The use of such measures will be more of a “last resort” rather than a default practice. My training philosophy is to protect and nurture all dogs in my care and, to that end, I will never use any training implement (leash, collar, muzzle, etc.) if I feel that it will traumatize a dog. If an owner knows his/herdog to be aggressive and is opposed to having a muzzle put on his/her dog, it would be in the best interest of that owner to work out alternate training solutions with me. Thanks for letting me serve you and your dog.
