Training Course Description:

The 3-day Campus Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) course was designed by the National Crime Prevention Council to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and resources to lead crime prevention efforts for their respective campus and localcommunities. It will provide the latest information, tools, and resources in the area of crime prevention through environmental design, including;security surveys, lighting, landscaping/maintenance, target hardening, alarm systems and technology, available crime prevention resources, and current best practices.

Who Should Attend?

This training is for anyone who is involved with developing public safety policies and plans, implementing prevention strategies, or working with others in their local communitiesor college campuses. This includes, but is not limited to, campus crime prevention practitioners, School Resource Officers (SROs), campus safety officials, law enforcement personnel, resident assistants and those involved with student housing, student affairs, and law enforcement personnel.

WHO ARE THE TRAINERS?

The scheduled trainers for this course are Chuck Sczuroski and Lee Struble. Chuck is retired law enforcement and a lifelong crime prevention practitioner and CPTED trainer. Lee has over 30 years crime prevention and campus public safety experience. They have been working together with the National Crime Prevention Council since 2006.
