Q.6 Please tell us what you did that meets the award criteria(600 words max).

Include everything that could be relevant since July 2014 but draw the judges’ attention to those innovative and ground breaking things that you have done. Remember that entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

  1. innovation of the project/initiative
  2. impact of the project/initiative
  3. relationship between investment/effort required by the project/initiative and benefits to the environment.

Q.7 Please provide the evidence of the results of what you did(400 words max).

Include highlights such as overall % carbon reduction, % increase in recycling rate, indicators of behaviour change, and so on. Please attach actual evidence of performance where available, such as a carbon footprint report or a waste inventory, as this will benefit your application. Substantial raw data is not required and it is recommended that you draw the judges’ attention to the most interesting and significant achievements.

Q.8Use this box to provide supplementary information to support your application(300 words max).

For example, make reference to any particular difficulties you overcame, any risks taken, any wider benefits of your organisation’s environmental improvement work such as to research or the community, and how your achievements will lead to further environmental improvement work in this area. Please keep your comments relevant to the award applied for, and draw the judges’ attention to any issues you feel are particularly noteworthy.

Make reference to how you achieved ambitious targets for environmental improvements, such as zero waste or zero carbon; how you worked with its stakeholders, including staff and its supply chain, taking a leadership role and setting the example for others; how you have embedded an environmental ethic within your core business, with environmental performance used as a key measure of success.
