What does the Forumdo?

Remit:

  • To provide the NES AHP Advisory Group with strategic advice on dietetic matters.

Functions

  • To advise the NES AHP Advisory Group on the development of dieteticeducation in Scotland arising from key national drivers.
  • To provide the NES AHP Advisory Group with a source of advice and input into key consultation exercises.
  • To advise NES on other dieteticbusiness as required.
  • To undertake task-based work as requested by the NES AHP Advisory Group.

Who sits on the group?

There will be around15-20 members of the Advisory Group including :

  • Dietitians – with different levels of experience and from different Health Boards
  • Dietetic Manager
  • Dietetic Health Care Support Worker
  • Recent Graduate / band 5 Dietitian
  • Student Dietitian
  • BDApolicy officer (Rosanna Hudson)
  • Higher / Further Education
  • Service User / Patient representation
  • Representatives from relevant Dietetic groups eg Scottish Dietetic Leaders Network
  • The NES AHP nominated lead for Dietitians (Karen Allan)

What sort of commitment is required?

TheDietetic Advisory Groupwill normally meet twice a year and at least once a year.

Additional meetings may be called according to the business to be conducted. These may be face-to-face or virtual.

You will be a member for a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 4 years.

Where does it meet?

Meeting venues willalternate between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The nextmeeting will be in Glasgow. Video conferencing is always offered.

When will it meet?

The next meeting is scheduled forMarch 2015 from 11 am – 4 pm at the NES Offices 2 QC, Glasgow. Please note the exact date in March is yet to be set.
