NALAG - Trauma Informed Care Why & How? 1 Day Workshop -

FINAL DAYS TO REGISTER!! This one day workshop will provide participants with a greater understanding of how trauma affects core eurobiology and the relational aspects of a person’s world. There will be an opportunity to discuss the impacts of trauma including identifying the coping strategies that have developed which have enabled survival. Community sector input needed – Australian Mental Health Care Classification workshop

The workshop will enable the community managed mental health care sector to engage directly with theIndependent Hospital Pricing Authority(IHPA) to understand the role of IHPA, activity based funding and the purpose, impact and process of developing the Australian Mental Health Care Classification. National Mental Health Consumer Organisation Establishment Project Consumer Reference Group (CRG) Update
In this update (attached), CRG member Lorraine Powell provides an interesting take on the work of the CRG and Mental Health Australia to establish the foundations for a national mental consumer organisation.This will be the last update from a member of the CRG, there will be a final communique from the CRG Chair, Ian Watts, at the end of May 2015, signalling the completion of the National Mental Health Consumer Organisation Establishment Project.
