  1. Approve September and October Meeting Minutes

September Minutes – Tim P. moved to approve the September meeting minutes, Tina seconded. The Board approved the September meeting minutes. October meeting minutes – Tina moved to approve the October meeting minutes, Hannah seconded. The Board approved the October minutes (Elva abstained).

  1. Treasurer’s Report

Tim reported that at the end of October, he reviewed the balances of Bank United and Wells Fargo. Expenses included Administrator’s fee, bank charges, and dues paid. Tim asked Bruce about a line item that was listed as chapter project for Tampa Bay and whether it was actually the TBAEP dues. Bruce confirmed that yes, it was actually their dues. Tim reported that there were no expenses other than our typical expenses. Other expenses were checks from last fiscal year relating to the Conference. Tim has the leftover ribbons from the 2016 Conference and will store them until the 2017 Conference.

  1. President’s Report

Amy will meet with Todd to discuss sponsorships. If anyone has comments or suggestions on sponsorship, let Amy know.

No report from the Membership Committee.

  1. Administrator’s Report

Teri report that for October, there were 886 members (32 more than last year), 19 new, 32 renew; 5 expired renewals. There were 110 NAEP members. During September and October, she sent a total of 103 renewal notices, which is especially high. Teri asked that the Board make sure reach out and make sure people are renewing. Membership appreciation events happening in November, should get back over 900 members.

  1. Old Business

a.Elections – Bruce sent an email to all the Board members regarding elections and will send an email to the entire membership also. Bruce will send it on behalf of the past-President. Bruce will send a draft for review. FAEP need nominations for At-Large Board position, which are due November 30th.

  1. New Business

Bruce and Amy sent thank you letters to supervisors of the 2016 Conference Committee members to thank them for the time and company support. Bruce sends these letters and if any Board member would like one for their own supervisor, they should let Bruce or Amy know. The letters help continue the support.

Bruce will remind the Chapters to send the end of fiscal year data to Bruce, so he can start doing all the filings again.

  1. Chapter Discussions(as time permits)

a.Tampa Bay – Tina Fritz reported that TBAEP had their Falladay event last week, it is a fundraiser for scholarship fund and food drive, over 100 people attended, raised over $500 and 71 pounds of food donated to Metropolitan Ministries. TBAEP is done for the year and will come back in February. On Dec. 21st, TBAEP is doing an event assisting Metropolitan Ministries, serves 18,000 families.

b.Treasure Coast – Paul Fitzgerald reported that TCAEP is having its Annual awards banquet, which is their big event for the year, on December 1st.

c.Central – Hannah Rowereported that November is the Member appreciation event, which is a casino event with games. CFAEP will take off December then is planning a social in January at World of Beer.

d.Northeast – Stan Stokes – no report

e.Northwest – AshleyJansenreported that NWFAEP had its annual symposium on Nov. 4th on the RESTORE act. NWFAEP is taking December off, and will plan a social coming up in January or February.

f.Southwest – AriellePoulosreported via email that the SW Chapter has the Fakahatchee Field Trip, which has been moved to Big Cypress instead, on December 3rd and we are doing a holiday social for the members on December 15th.

g.South – Stephanie Voris – No report

h.Tallahassee –Elva reported that last month Tallahassee had a member appreciation event with field trip, dinner, speakers, music and happy hour with specialty cocktail. The event went really well and Elva heard positive feedback. The subject was the St. Marks oil refinery clean up and rehabilitation. Tallahassee is planning a social on Dec. 15th. Tallahassee has two new board members, and also gave away two essay scholarships ($500, $250 to FSU FAEP members). On the 2017 Conference, another company is looking into the venues for the conference and they are trying to plan around the FSU schedule, which comes out in February 2017. Tallahassee would like to get the information from Arielle on what was good or bad about 2016 conference. Bruce said there is a conference folder on Dropbox to assist in planning.
