MEETING MINUTES – MARCH 6, 2012

OLD BUSINESS / DISCUSSION/COMMENTS / OUTCOME/FOLLOW UP
1. Review minutes from 1-31-12 meeting. / Approved without changes.
2. Will new IT program for DPP’s work with the SCC format? / Steve reported that Alfonso Oropeza of IT stated that Bay Dinh was to have made a presentation of the upgrade to SAC but had not heard if it was accepted. Alfonso will contact Steve after discussion with Bay. / Steve to report any update at the next meeting.
3. Status of the Grant Review process under development by Academic Senate / Approved by Senate. Sent to College Council for approval.
4 . 361 Budget Allocation Model - Status / This was approved by BAPR however the Chancellor has not presented it to the Board / Several implementation steps have to be developed. Steve to report on the status of these steps
5. Information From BAPR regarding mid-year cuts and the 2012-2013 budget Information / The District is planning to use ending balance funds to deal with cuts to the current year budget. The key for the 2012-2013 budget will be whether we make the reductions for the tentative budget from this year’s adopted budget or allocated budget. It is also critical that we use vacant position funding toward the reductions that are anticipated for next year. / Steve to provide information on what we expect our funding requirements are based on our projections for this year’s expenses.
