From outside Boston:

[Note that once you get off the highway all your turns are alternating lefts and rights.]

1. From Route 128/I-95, take I-93 South (Exit 37)

2. Take the second exit off I-93 South (Exit 35, signs for Melrose).

3. Turn left under the highway, then right at the STOP sign.

4. Go straight at the first set of lights. There is a Friendly's and a park. The road becomes a parkway, going past the Stone zoo, zoo parking lot, and reservoir on your right.

5. Take the first available left after the parking lot. There ought to be a small sign pointing to Melrose. (This sign gets knocked down by drunk drivers every couple of months.) This is Wyoming Ave.

6. Turn right at the second set of lights. (There's quite a ways between lights.) This is Main Street.

7. Turn left at the first set of lights. There is a Friendly's and a Little League ballpark. This is Sylvan Street.

8. Turn right at the STOP sign; there is a cemetery. You are now on Lebanon Street heading south; go approx. 1 mile.

9. No. 138 is on the right, partway up a small hill, on a private drive named Lebanon Terrace. The house is blue. Park on Lebanon Street at the foot of the hill. If you come to a traffic light on Lebanon Street you've gone a couple of blocks too far.

From inside Boston:

10. Take Route 1 North out of Boston (Tobin Bridge).

11. Take Route 60 West. The Route 60 exit is set up like a big rotary: get off at about 8 o'clock. There's a cinema complex on your right.

12. At the second set of lights Route 60 turns off to the left. You continue straight.

13. At a flashing yellow light, bear left. (This means you follow the main road.)

14. At the second set of lights after the flashing light, turn right. (This is a very sharp right.) The intersection is Maple-wood Square, and you are now on Lebanon Street heading north.

15. A couple of blocks north of Maplewood Square the street curves sharply left around a rock outcrop. Immediately after the curve is a private drive going up the hill to the left, named Lebanon Terrace. No. 138 is a blue house partway up this drive. Park at the foot of the hill on Lebanon Street.

From Arlington/Somerville/Medford:

1. Take Route 60 East (goes through Arlington Center, Medford Square, Malden Center).

2. You can tell Malden Center by the train tracks (both commuter rail and Orange Line) that pass overhead. Continue for just over 1 mile.

3. Take a left on Maplewood Street. There is a McDonald's, and a traffic light.

4. The second light is an intersection called Maplewood Square. Go straight. The road is now called Lebanon Street.

5. A couple blocks north of Maplewood Square the road curves sharply left around a rock outcrop. Immediately after the curve there is a private drive going up the hill to the left, named Lebanon Terrace. No. 138 is a blue house partway up this drive. Park at the foot of the hill on Lebanon Street.

From Logan Airport:

16. When leaving Logan, bear right so you're taking Route 1A North. (Whenever traffic is heavy, the ramp onto 1A South is blocked off and you're *forced* to go north; since you want to go that way in the first place, you'll have a morale advantage over other drivers.)

17. Approx. 3 miles north on 1A you come to a complex intersection with a traffic light. Bear left onto Route 60 - follow signs for "60 West" and "To Route 1".

18.Approx. 2 miles west on 60 you enter a big rotary with Route 1 passing overhead. Stay on 60 - it means taking the second exit out of the rotary, at about 10:30. There's a cinema complex on your right.

19. At the second set of lights Route 60 turns off to the left. You continue straight. (You might not even notice Route 60 turns off: the signage is pretty poor.)

20. At a flashing yellow light bear left, and left again to avoid going up a hill. (In both cases, you're staying on what's obviously the main road.)

21. At the second set of lights after the flashing light, turn right. (This is a very sharp right.) The intersection is Maplewood Square, and you are now on Lebanon Street heading north.
