About the event
The launch will include a speech from the Commissioner and Bea Salter, a trustee from Avon and Somerset Police Community Trust followed by an opportunity to speak with those at the event. Grant advisors will also be on hand to help you with grant applications; not just this one but other applications you might be looking at.
Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.
Disabled Access
Colston Hall foyer and main auditorium is completely accessible for visitors with disabilities. Lifts can be found at both the Trenchard Street and Colston Street entrances and will take visitors to all levels. There are also facilities for deaf and hearing impaired visitors.
Amenities
Toilets are available on Level 3 and are signposted throughout the building. Disabled toilets are also signposted.
Parking
Trenchard Street car park, is recommended for parking and is situated behind the Colston Hall. You can enter via Level 5, Lodge Street – the Trenchard Street entrance is currently undergoing major refurbishment. You can exit via Level 8, Park Row. Disabled bays are available and parking is payable at the pay-machines either on entrance (before leaving the car park for Colston Hall) or exit.
Traveling by foot
Colston Hall is on Colston Street, off the city centre promenade; ten minutes walk from the Broadmead shopping area, situated behind ColstonTower.
Traveling by train
TempleMeads, the nearest station, is about one mile from Colston Hall. Buses 8 and 9 run directly to the city centre promenade. For further info about train times please call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 59 50 (24 hrs)
Traveling by bus
Most buses to the city centre stop at the promenade, the recommended get off point for Colston Hall. For further bus enquiries please call First Cityline on 0845 602 0156 (8am-8pm)
Traveling by car
Via M5: Exit junction 18, follow A4 (Portway) to the centre. At the promenade (St Augustine’s Parade) turn left into Colston Street.
Via M4: Exit junction 19 (M32). Follow signs to Clifton. For dropping-off / picking-up turn into Colston Street, which is the first left after the Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI).
Look out for the brown signs directing you to Colston Hall.
Please bear in mind that Colston Street is only accessible in one direction from the city centre promenade - when driving either from Park Street/Anchor Road toward the M32.
