It’s again time for us to begin planning for the Hazlet Youth Athletic League Summer Tournament. The tentative starting dates for the 3 game round robin tournament are noted below. Enclosed is a registration form to complete and return to us by June 1st, 2005. We need your commitment in order to properly develop schedules and to estimate umpire needs.
Due to field availability this year we will be limiting each age division to 12 teams. All slots will be given on a first come first serve basis so long as payment of the registration fee has been received.
Tentative starting and ending dates are as follows:
Boys 8’s 6/23-7/1
Boys 9’s 7/2-7/10
Boys 10’s 7/10-7/19
Boys 11’s 7/9-7/17
Boys 12’s 7/1-7/10
Boys 13’s 7/5-7/17
Boys 14/15’s 7/9-7/21
Girls 8’s,10’s, 7/20-7/28
Girls 12’s,14’s 7/25-7/31
Seeding meetings are as follows:
Boys 8,9,12 June 8th 7:00PM HYAL Clubhouse
Boys 10,11 June 15th 7:00PM HYAL Clubhouse
Boys 13,14/15 June 29th 7:00PM HYAL Clubhouse
Girls 8,10,12,14 July 13th 7:00PM HYAL Clubhouse
Registration fees are $375 per team. Discounts are as follows: Leagues sending
4 or more Boys Teams will be discounted to $350. per team. Leagues sending 3 or more girls teams will be discounted to $350 per team. NO AAU TEAMS ALLOWED. Teams must be members of the organization for which they play. Insurance certificates, rosters (please supply you own), and birth certificates should be brought to the seeding meeting.
Please contact the HYAL with any questions (732-264-3060 hit #6 for tournament) Team and individual trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams for all divisions. Tournament information can be obtained on the HYAL Website. (
