This role will focus on sales growth and development for the Southwest-USA region (currently: AZ, NM, CO, OK, TX, KS) Primary focus will be developing key operator accounts in the region as well as managing the broker network and distributor relationships.

The ideal candidate would be dynamic and showcase:familiarity with business analytics systems and tools,the ability to organize, prioritize and manage the details through to completion, and the ability to build a strong network of professional relationships through superior communication skills. Maintaining a positive attitude while being self-disciplined, self-starting, participative, and consistent, is critical to success in this role. Adaptability to change and ability to work at a fast pace are also keys to success.

Primary responsibilities:

  1. Grow Sales in the Southwest Region
  • Meet or exceed sales lbs and profit targets budgeted for region
  • Develop & execute prioritized plan for region that align with overall sales plans and priorities

List states/areas/region?

  1. Large Strategic Operator Development
  • Know and develop relationships with current strategic/large operator customers
  • Identify major operator opportunities by market and ensure a minimum of 10 calls/week (with broker support and independently as required)
  • Support multi-unit team with follow up and launches of major accounts
  1. Broker Management
  • Train & coach key broker reps in all markets
  • Develop focused plan with each broker office and ensure execution
  • Hold each broker office accountable to focused activity and sales lb growth
  1. Distributor Management, Support and Execution
  • Effectively manage/negotiate distributor spend levels
  • Develop and maintain multi-level relationships at all current and potential distributors in each market while increasing Sun Rich’s value to the distributor
  • Ensure balanced support of distributor initiatives – tradeshows, training sessions, meetings etc. (by yourself and brokers)
  1. Be a Sun Rich Sales Expert
  • Present Sun Rich and our products in a professional manner that aligns with overall brand position
  • Understand the Sun Rich comparative value into all segments and be able to present it in a “solution focused” way
  • Understand the Sun Rich service model and route to market
  • Understand and follow the Sun Rich polices and processes and at all times, present Sun Rich in a Professional Manner
  • Be a fruit expert – provide solutions
  • Seek out knowledge to become a value added asset to Sun Rich, with in the Distributor and Operator space
  1. Be a contributing member of the sales “one team”
  • Support the North American business as required – ensure there is “sales team” support of your market and that you support other markets (i.e.: blitzes, cross market regional accounts)
  • Capture and share competitive information, market trends and major industry initiatives

TRAVEL:

This position requires up to 50% travel. Frequently travel is outside local area and overnight.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least three years of field sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three to Five years of sales experience with food manufacturing industry.
  • Advanced training in recent sales techniques.
