Donation
We require a donation ranging from $100 to $500 for each adoption. The donation is based on the age and health of the dog being adopted as well as its level of training. 100% of donations are directed to the veterinary expenses of the dogs in our care. While some dogs come to us spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations, most do not. All dogs available for adoption are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, checked for heartworm and (usually) tick-borne diseases and have had any obvious medical needs addressed. They receive basic obedience training and are crate-trained and usually reliably housebroken. Many require more extensive veterinary care such as surgery to correct entropion, orthopedic surgery to address knee injuries, etc. These surgeries are extremely expensive and donations are pooled to cover the expenses of the dogs requiring major surgery. Please understand that these are large dogs and their vet care is expensive. If you cannot afford the adoption donation, can you afford ongoing and appropriate vet care for a bullmastiff? Please consider this before applying.
