A Guide for Accessing Palliative Care MCQs and CPD Reports
To access associated MCQs
- Please complete the associated multiple choice questions once you have completed all 7 webinars – click MCQs available via portal link which you will find under useful links at the bottom of the palliative care webinar page
- Once you click the link it will take you to the NES portal
- You will need to create a portal account, if you do not already have one, before you can access the MCQs
To create a Portal account (skip if you already have a portal account)
- Log in to
- At` Please log in` click on `sign up`
- Complete the `Personal & Contact Details` section fully- Use your email (not a generic shop email)
- At `Select Account Role` scroll down to P and click on your correct job title
- At `Account credentials` type in a password which must be a least 8 characters and contain one special character e.g. @,!,$ etc.
- Click `Create Account`
- A pop up box will appear that will confirm you account – you now need to go to your email and active the link
- In your email click the “click here to activate your NES portal account’, which will be about half way down the email – follow the instructions which will take you back to the NES portal page
- Now please log in to the portal (top right box): enter your email, the password you created earlier and click login
To complete the Palliative Care MCQs on Portal
- Once you have logged into the NES portal, at ibooklet (left hand side of page) click on `e-learning` then look for the following slide
- Click on the green icon underneath `order MCQ`
- Click `Yes` at `Are you sure you want to only order the MCQ for An introduction to palliative care - NHS GG&C?
- Scroll up to the top of the page and click ‘undertake MCQ’
- Click on ‘complete assessment’ to the left of An introduction to palliative care - NHS GG&C
- Once you complete the MCQs click the submit button at the bottom of the page – you will get instant feedback on your score
- Note down the date that you completed the MCQs
To generate a verifiable CPD record
- On the portal home page at ibooklet (left hand side of page) click on `vCPD record’
- Enter finish date of MCQs that you noted down when you completed the MCQs (start and finish date should be the same)
- Click the green ‘generate report’ button
- Click ‘save as PDF’ to save, or click the printer icon to print a copy of the report
