Bulldogs Discovering Our H2O Connection
I hope you had a restful break with our scholars. This week is Earth Science week. Our students will be involved in a number of earth science activities with their teachers. Take time to discuss with your scholars what they are learning in class. The “Goodwill Drive” to support our Grade 6 students will take place on Saturday, October 18th. Please come by and support our school and make it a success.

Fall Festival
Come one, come all to the Santa Clarita Fall Festival Saturday, October 25th 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. There will be a silent auction, graveyard games, scavenger hunt, inflatables, photo booth and much much more.
Pre order your tickets for $7 per child over age 2. Or bring one large bag of candy by 10/22. Adults and children under 2 are free. Price at the door will be $10. Be sure to wear your costumes!

Restaurant Night at Jersey Mikes
Take the night off from cooking and help the school earn money. Just bring the flyer to Jersey Mikes between 10:00 am and 9:00 pm.
The Final Mile Challenge
Log books should be turned into the office. Keep walking so you are prepared for the big day! Mrs. Soto will be emailing important information about race day. If you have not received any emails as of yet, please email her at so you don’t miss out.
Saugus High School Cheer Clinic
Come one, come all… to a fun and exciting time with the SHS Cheer Squad. Have fun, great exercise, and enjoy a wonderful learning experience for anyone interested in cheerleading. The clinic is Saturday, October 18th, 8:30am – 12:00 noon.

Noteworthy News
Environmental Club Meeting
Students in Grade 3, 4, 5 & 6 are invited to join Mrs. Richter and Mrs. Lund for the first Environmental Club meeting. It will be held on October 17th in the Science Lab. There will be two guest speakers, Mrs. Tooma and a representative from Santa Clarita Waste Management. They will be sharing information about recycling and how we can make a difference as a school.
Earthquake Preparation
All students will need a small earthquake kit. See the information sheet for directions.
Disaster Drill
October 16th is National “Great American Shake Out”, our schools, businesses and community will participate in a “drill” to help promote awareness and preparedness. Do you have an earthquake plan for your family? Now is the perfect time to plan.
All students are participating in our disaster drill this Thursday, October 16th. If you need to pick up your child that morning and the gates are locked, please pick up your child at the release gate next to the park.
