Buckwheat Festival Information Slip
The Annual Buckwheat Festival School Day Parade is Friday, September 30, 2016. The Suncrest Marching Band will be performing at this parade. All band students need to come to school that day wearing shorts or long warm-up pants and their band t-shirt and bring their full uniform in the garment bag. They will bring their uniform to the band room and hang it on the uniform racks and then report to first period. At around 9:00 am that morning they will be dismissed by announcement to report to the band room. At this time we will load instruments and uniforms onto the charter busses. Then we will board our busses with hats in hand.
After arriving at Kingwood the students will have some time at the Fair Grounds to enjoy the rides and grab a bite to eat. We will assemble back at the busses at a designated time to get dressed for the parade. This time will be contingent upon our order in the parade which is unknown until we arrive. After marching the parade we will change out of the uniform and depart Kingwood between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. We should arrive at Suncrest Middle around 5:15 p.m. at which time students will unload the busses and be on their way home.
IMPORTANT: All students must ride the bus to Kingwood. If your child is meeting you at Kingwood and not riding the bus home you need to indicate this on the permission slip below. You need to meet your child at the busses (all busses park in one lot right past the carnival) after our performance and I must physically see you take your child with you.

Buckwheat Festival on Friday, September 30, 2016. I understand they must follow all the normal school rules as they represent Suncrest Middle on this trip. I also understand that any misconduct will be disciplined immediately and may result in their dismissal from the band program and or school suspension. This form also allows medical personal to provide medical care for my child in the event of an emergency.
