This is your opportunity to plan the vacation of your dreams around the great state of Georgia! Using the knowledge you have acquired so far this year about the history and geography of Georgia, you and your partner will plan a vacation. You must be sure to include several points of interest. You have an unlimited budget so plan away!

·  Plan 7 days of traveling by car and tell where you will spend each night. (10 pts)

·  Use the itinerary template on the back of this sheet to plan your trip and then type a final copy on the word template provided. You must explain the significance of each place you stop. At the end of your itinerary, answer the Essential Questions below (30 pts)

·  Trace your route on the map provided as a planning aid. (5 pts)

·  Find the total distance you will travel and the amount you will spend on gas. Make an estimate based on the price of fuel in Kennesaw. (5 pts)

·  Plot your trip in sequence of events on Google Earth with descriptive tags at each stop. (20 pts)

·  Travel through all 5 geographic regions and visit a major landform in each.(10pts)

·  Visit 3 Civil War battle sites and write a brief description in your itinerary about the events that occurred there. (10 pts)

·  Visit 1 Native American site and describe it. (5 pts)

·  Plan at least 5 recreational activities with descriptions. (5 pts)

·  Bonus - Contact 1 real tourist center or chamber of commerce to request an information packet. Print out the request in case the packet takes too long to arrive. It can be mailed to you at the school address. (3 pts)
