New Forced Entry Options Introduced by Broco® at the Las Vegas

SHOT Show January 18

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (JANUARY 18, 2011) – Broco® Inc. used the SHOT Show venue in Las Vegas to launch a new suite of forced entry systems for law enforcement, military, and other first responders. Included in the new options for breachers are the Broco Rhino™ security door puller, the Crow’s Foot-3 Spreader (CF-3) and the 'SAS' Breacher. The products follow the company’s introduction last fall of the Broco Blower® forced entry system. Broco ‘s Tactical division now boasts a full range of forced entry options including mechanical, saw, thermal, and dynamic hydraulics.

“We’ve long been known by military and law enforcement personnel worldwide as the ‘torch company’ for our expertise in thermal breaching,” said Tom Joos, vice president of Broco Tactical sales. “We’ve dedicated ourselves to bringing more options for quick, safe, and assertive forced entry. Our continuing product expansion means a wider range of quality equipment designed to suit various scenarios and situations from which breachers can choose.”

The Broco Rhino is a one-man security screen door puller. Its large point penetrates screens to hook behind lock plates and the slide action breaks doors, locks and jambs. Designed by a SWAT breacher, the Broco Rhino boasts all steel welded construction and ease of use.

The CF-3 hydraulic spreader assists in opening all types of inward and outward opening doors and distorting and destroying security gates and window bars. The CF-3 is machined from hardened billet steel and offers a unique 90 degree hose swivel enabling its use in all positions. The spreader includes a lightweight aluminum hydraulic pump body and is capable of delivering up to five tons of hydraulic power.

The ‘SAS’ Breacher is a high-tech door breaching device. Its electric/hydraulic jamb spreader and door opener exerts nearly seven tons of force and automatically switches between spreading and breaking. The ‘SAS’ Breacher can be used on either adoor’s lock side or hinge side and offers the advantage of operating silently until the lock breaks.

In September 2010, Broco began delivering the door busting Blower® to military and law enforcementteams. The Broco Blower hydraulic/pneumatic door opener generates more than ten tons of force to implode the door or frame and also offers the advantage of silence until the door or frame breaks. The Blower offers ease of implementation and impressive power without the liability ofexplosives.
