Program Overview

The purpose of this program is to provide educational information to further develop the knowledge base of perianesthesia nurses.

Target Audience

This program is for Nurses in all phases of pre and post anesthesia, ambulatory surgery and pain management.

Continuing Education

KBN Provider #4-0094-12-16-290 for 7.8 contact hours

Kentucky Board of Nursing approval for an individual nursing program continuing education provider does not constitute endorsement of program content. Contact Hours will be awarded upon completion of this activity by participant attending the entire course and completing the evaluation.

Community Project

At Our Lady of Peace, they help diagnose and treat children and adolescents with mental disorder severe enough to cause some level of impairment in order to help them, and their families, strengthen their relationships and improve their lives. Items needed for children

Books appropriate for preteens/teens.

Clothes/Shoes Many of the patients arrive wearing paper scrubs or just the clothes on their backs. Some patients even arrive with no shoes. Preferences: sweat shirts/sweat pants and slip on or Velcro shoes (no shoelaces). Gently used appreciated

Children: 12-3; big kid sizes: 3.5-7

Men’s: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11

Women's: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

From I-64
Take I-64 to Exit 12A Watterson Expressway/264 West. Exit I-264 at the next exit, Breckenridge Lane North, Exit18B. Turn North off the exit ramp onto Breckenridge Lane. Proceed North through the traffic lights at Dutchman's Lane and Dupont Road (W. W. Cousin's on right). Turn right at the third traffic light onto Kresge Way. Follow the directions to the Education Center.

From I-264 Watterson Expressway
Take I-264, the Watterson Expressway, to Breckenridge Lane North, Exit 18B. Turn North off the exit ramp onto Breckenridge Lane. Proceed North through the traffic lights at Dutchman's Lane and Dupont Road (W. W. Cousin's on right). Turn right at the third traffic light onto Kresge Way. Follow the directions to the Education Center.

From I-65
Take I-65 to the I-264, the Watterson Expressway East, Exit 131. Proceed East on I-264 until you reach Breckenridge Lane North, Exit 18B. Turn North off the exit ramp onto Breckenridge Lane. Education Center

Enter the hospital at the second entrance off Kresge Way located by Brown Park. Continue along the road in back of the hospital and enter the parking garage. Park on the 2nd floor and enter the main hospital through the pedway. You will then be at the entrance of the Education Center. The Education Center is on the 2nd floor.
