(Definition of Terms)

Assignee - An Eligible Transmission Customer that receives PTP rights from a Reseller either through a Resale or a Transfer

Eligible Transmission Customer - Shall have the same meaning as the term Eligible Customerdefined in the FERC pro forma OATT.

Network Customer - Shall have the same meaning as defined in the FERC pro forma OATT.

Transmission Customer - Any Eligible Transmission Customer (or its designated agent) that can or does execute a service agreement or can or does receive Transmission Service.

Transmission Provider - A utility (or its designated agent) that owns, controls, or operates facilities used for the transmission of electric energy in interstate commerce and provides Transmission Service.

(Definition of Terms)

Application[ebs1] – Shall have the same meaning as defined in the FERC pro forma OATT.

Concomitant Evaluation - The evaluation of a request for new PTP or NITS submitted in conjunction with a request for undesignation of a Network Resource.

Designated Agent – Shall have the same meaning as defined in the FERC pro forma OATT.

Network Load – Shall have the same meaning as defined in the FERC pro forma OATT.

Network Resource – Shall have the same meaning as defined in the FERC pro forma OATT.

Network Scheduling Right – Optional mechanism on OASIS, enabled at the Transmission Provider’s discretion, to facilitate e-Tag validation associated with DNRs. When used, the mechanism shall 1) allow requests for network scheduling rights, and/or 2) allow Transmission Provider to post scheduling rights granted.

Pre-submittal Workspace – Functionality or facility provided by OASIS wherein Eligible Customers or Transmission Customers may enter, save, and revise information in preparation for submittal of a NITS Application or NITS modification of service.

Request Interval – Time interval associated with NITS modifications of service requests, including DNR andNetwork Load, as well as with all requests for Secondary Network Transmission Service.

[ebs1]Suggest defining the term NITS Application rather than Application. The definition could be modified to state “shall have the same meaning as application as defined in the FERC pro forma OATT. In most instances in the recommendation the references are NITS Application. Application has multiple meanings throughout the Business Practice Standards. By placing the NITS qualifier as part of the term it will avoid confusion with other applications such as an Authorized Certificate Authority application or a system application
