Fundraising Meeting in School - Report

Those present were given an update on the new extension and details of money raised to date.Since that time we have been informed that the completion of the job will have to go out to tender again and this will mean a delay of three to six months. We are not sure how much financial impact the delay will have on our project until DENI awards the new contract. I will nevertheless send an update on our finances to all parents in the near future.

All those present agreed that we should proceed with our fundraising programme. Again we ask you to bear with us. It will come to an end within the next year.

Fundraising ideas proposed and recommended to go ahead included:

  • £50 draw starting at end of February and finishing in June with £8000 in prizes (£5000 final prize.) Tickets will be issued next week and we would encourage each family to buy one ticket and to promote the draw to families and friends.
  • Bag packing at B&M on Sunday 5th February. Three parents have volunteered to lead three teams of six.
  • 6km run with 1km children’s run on 25th March.
  • ‘Come Dine With Me.’ Please contact the secretary if you are willing to host a table.
  • Jigs & Reels which will take place in late May or early June.
