SIGNIFICANT EVENTS

11/1 Community Park Petty Theft

On 11/1 between 2100 and 2117 hours, an unknown suspect(s) took a bicycle without permission. The bicycle was unlocked and the owner had left the area for a short moment. The cost of the bicycle is approximately $700. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads. Report #14-1101-001.

11/1 400 block of Marina Blvd Possession of Counterfeit Bill

On 11/1 at 2307 hours, an officer contacted a suspicious vehicle. During a vehicle search a counterfeit $50 bill was found. The subject stated the bill had been given to him and he had no intention of using it. The bill was taken and turned over to the US Secret Service. Case forwarded to the Secret Service. Report #14-1101-002.

11/04 100 Block of Visitacion Avenue Battery on a Person

An additional report was taken for report# 14-1031-004 where a male subject reportedly threw skittles candy at a 17 year old female and it her in the chest. The Juveniles mother then signed a Citizen’s Arrest form for assault and battery. Case to be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review. Report #14-1104-001

11/04 400 Block of Monterey St. Vandalism

Sometime between 11/03/2014 at 1100 hours and 11/04/2014 at 1215 hours an unknown suspect scratched the side of the victim’s vehicle causing approximately $2000.00 in damage while it was parked in the 400 block of Monterey Street. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads. Report# 14-1104-002.

11/06 1000 Marina Boulevard. Vandalism

On 11/05 officers were dispatched to the area of 1000 Marina Boulevard on the report of vandalism. Unknown suspects spray painted miscellaneous figures and letters on the cement wall and roadway of the parking garage structure. Case suspended at this time pending further leads. Report #14-1106-001.

11/06 North Bound U.S. 101 at Peninsula Avenue. Warrant Arrest

On 11/06 at 1415 hours an officer effected a traffic stop on an individual who had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. The subject was taken into custody and transported to County Jail. Case closed by arrest. Report# 14-1106-002.

11/06 200 Block of Trinity Road. Vicious Animal

On 11/06 two pit bulls mauled two chickens while they were in a chicken coop. The two dogs were apprehended. The Peninsula Humane Society was notified and responded to the scene to take possession of the two pit bulls pending an investigation for vicious animals. Report# 14-1106-003.

11/06 400 Marina Boulevard Possession of Nitrous Oxide

On 11/06 officers contacted 2 subjects in a parked vehicle who were inhaling nitrous oxide containers. Both subjects were cited and released at the scene. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review. Report# 14-1106-004.

11/07 300 Block of Alvarado Vandalism

Sometime between Thursday 11/06/2014 at 2100 hours and 11/07/2014 1220 hours a vandalism occurred to a vehicle. The front left tire was punctured on the side wall causing the tire to be replaced at a cost of $165.00. There is no suspect information or leads. Case suspended at this time. Report# 14-1107-001.

11/07 2800 Block of Bayshore Blvd Auto Burglary

On 11/07 between 2015 hours and 2144 hours unknown subjects smashed the window to a parked unoccupied vehicle and removed a baby blanket that was located inside. Case suspended at this time due to lack of suspect information. Report #14-1107-002.

11/08 50 Park Place Found Property

On 11/08 a citizen turned in a wallet he found in Pacifica. The wallet was placed in a B.P.D. evidence locker for safe keeping and attempts were made to contact the owner. Report# 14-1108-001.

11/08 400 Marina Boulevard Vandalism/Petty Theft

Sometime between 03/01 and 11/08 unknown subjects boarded the victim’s boat and removed a portion of the rail and screws off of the boat. Case suspended at this time due to lack of suspect information. Report# 14-1108-002.

11/08 100 Block of Cliff Swallow Domestic Related Incident

On 11/08 Officers were responded to a husband and wife that were involved in a verbal argument. Upon officers arrival both parties were separated and it was determined to be a verbal argument only. The female half agreed to leave the residence for a while. Report taken for information. Report# 14-1108-003.

11/08 200 Block of Mendocino Mental Health Evaluation

On 11/08 at 2253 hour’s officers responded on the report of a male transient sleeping in an alleyway. Upon talking to the subject he later stated that he wanted to find a gun and kill himself. The male subject was transported to the hospital for mental evaluation. Report# 14-1108-004.

11/10 100 block of Park Lane Theft

On 11/10/2014 an officer responded on the report of a theft of a license plate off of a company vehicle that happened sometime between 11/07 and 11/10. Case taken. Report #14-1110-001.

11/10 100 block of Cliff Swallow Missing Person

An officer responded on the report of a missing person who had not returned from a trip overseas when he was scheduled to. It was later determined that the subject had booked a later flight and returned the next day. Report# 14-1110-002.

11/11 50 Park Place Found Property

On 11/11 a citizen located what appeared to be trash along the walkway near the quarry. Property was taken for destruction. Report #14-1111-001.

11/11 100 block of San Benito Theft

On 11/11 at 0808 hours officers responded on the report of a theft. Sometime between 11/10/14 at about 2300 hours and 11/11/14 at about 0500 hours, an unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle which was parked in front of her residence. The suspect(s) took $10.00 of miscellaneous change that was in the center console. There are no suspect(s) at this time. Report #14-1111-002.

11/11 100 block of North Hill Drive Vandalism

Sometime between 11/10/2014 at approximately 1630 hours and 11/11/2014 at approximately 0920 hours, unknown suspect or suspects attempted to break into the business through the front door causing damage to the door frame and lock. The unknown suspect(s) were unable to gain entry into the business. They also damaged a vehicle and broke the locking gas cap from the vehicle that was parked in front of the business. Case suspended due to lack of suspect information at this time. Report# 14-1111-003.

11/17 2000 Shoreline Court Suicide

Officers responded to the listed area and located a subject who had committed suicide in one of the hotel rooms. No signs of foul play were discovered and the Coroner took possession of the deceased. Case closed. Report #14-1117-003.

11/18 400 Marina Boulevard Found property

A citizen turned in a wallet to the Marina staff that they located in the area. Attempts were made to locate the owner of the wallet with negative results. The wallet is being held for safekeeping for the time being. Case closed. Report# 14-1118-001.

11/18 Old County Road at Bayshore Blvd Suspicious Circumstances

A citizen reported that she was possibly being followed by a white van. The reporting party was unable to get a correct license plate of the white van. Case suspended at this time due to lack of possible suspect leads. Report #14-1118-002

11/19 Unit block of Visitacion Avenue Warrant Arrest

Officers made contact with a subject who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to the County Jail. Case closed via arrest. Report# 14-1119-001.

11/19 3800 Block of Bayshore Boulevard Vandalism to a vehicle

Between 11/16 at 2100 hours and 11/17 at 1030 hours unknown suspect(s) scratched both of the victim’s parked vehicles. Case suspended at this time due to lack of suspect information. Report taken 14-1119-002.

11/20 200 Block of Mariposa Suspicious circumstances

A citizen reported to the police that he is being harassed by his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend and friends. There has been no crime committed at this time. Informational report taken. Report# 14-1120-001.

11/20 400 block of Mendocino Narcotics Arrest

Officers conducted a probation search at a residence and recovered narcotics located inside. Two subjects were arrested for possessing narcotics for sale. Case closed. Report# 14-1120-02.

11/20 East Palo Alto Narcotics Arrest

A Brisbane PD Officer assigned to the San Mateo County Gang Task Force effected a traffic stop on an individual who violated the vehicle code while riding a bicycle. The subject was on probation. A search of the suspect revealed that he had narcotics and paraphernalia in his possession. Case closed. Report#14-1120-003

11/20 100 block of North Hill Drive Found Property

A citizen turned in a wallet and cell phone they found on the ground. The property was placed into a B.P.D. locker for safekeeping until the owner can be reached. Report# 14-1120-004.

11/21 3700 Block of Bayshore Boulevard. Vandalism

Between 11/01 and 11/18 unknown suspects spray painted approximately 70’ of the exterior wall of the business. Case suspended at this time due to lack of suspect information. Report taken 14-1121-001.

11/22 1900 Block of Pulgas East Palo Alto Resisting/Obstructing Officer

While working the San Mateo County Gang Task Force an officer attempted to pull over a bicyclist who was driving at night without the proper lighting equipment. The suspect dropped the bicycle and ran to his residence that had a fence around it. The subject was arrested for resisting arrest. Case closed. Report# 14-1122-001

11/24 Unit Block of Visitacion Vandalism

Sometime between 11/23 and 11/24 unknown suspects spray painted the wall of the apartment complex. Case suspended due to lack of suspect leads. Report# 14-1124-001.

11/24 Mariposa at Visitacion D.U.I./Warrant arrest

Officers effected a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation and it was determined that the driver was D.U.I., driving on a suspended license and had outstanding warrants out for his arrest. Case closed. Report# 14-1124-002.

11/25 Mission Blue at Guadalupe Injury Accident

One driver was stopped at the intersection and was “rear ended” by another. Report taken. Report#14-1125-001.

11/25 Unit Block of Cypress Stolen License plates

The reporting party notified Brisbane P.D. that his vehicle’s license plates were removed in San Francisco and were replaced with stolen plates. Case inactive due to lack of suspect information. Report# 14-1125-002.

11/25 The Village Shopping Center Grand Theft

Two suspects entered the store posing as customers. They worked together and used a series of techniques to distract the store owner and removed approximately $51513.00 worth of diamonds and jewelry. The investigation os ongoing. Report# 14-1125-004.

11/26 Unit block of Sierra Point Road Trespassing/Vandalism

An unknown subject kicked the backyard screen door causing moderate damage. Case inactive due to lack of suspect information or leads. Report taken 14-1126-001.

11/26 Marina Boulevard Burglary

Sometime between 11/25 and 11/26 unknown suspects entered the business and removed computer equipment. Case suspended due to lack of suspect leads. Report# 14-1126-002

11/26 Unit block of Visitacion Passing counterfeit money

While conducting a bar check, Officers were advised that an unknown subject had passed a counterfeit $20.00 bill sometime during the night. The bill was turned over to the Secret Service for further investigation. Case suspended due to lack of suspect information. Report# 14-1127-001

11/28 Shoreline Court Domestic Dispute

A husband and wife became involved in a verbal argument over luggage. Report taken for informational purposes. Report# 14-1128-001.

11/28 300 Block of Mendocino Street Possession of marijuana

A citizen reported a male subject looking into parked vehicles. Officer’s responded and made contact with the subject who was in possession of marijuana. The subject was cited and released. Case Closed. Report #14-1128-002.

11/28 200 Block of Humboldt Road Arson

On 11/28 at 0730 hours an unknown subject set fire to an outside wooden staircase. Fire and Police responded and the fire was contained. Case suspended due to lack of leads. Report Taken. 14-1128-003

11/28 Bayshore at Valley Drive Driving with a suspended DL

Officers effected a traffic stop and it was discovered that the driver was driving on a suspended drivers licensed. Driver cited and released. Report# 14-1128-004

11/28 300 Block of Kings Road Vandalism to property

On 11/28 the branches to a eucalyptus tree were cut by a resident. Both neighbors believe that they have the property rights to the tree branches. Code enforcement has been notified to determine where the property line is and who has the right to trim the tree. Report# 14-1128-006.

11/28 5000 Sierra Point Parkway Auto Burglary

Between 1330 hours and 1530 hours on 11/28 an unknown suspect smashed the driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle and removed a backpack, clothing and cash valued at $200.00. Case suspended due to lack of suspect information at this time. Report taken.14-1128-008

11/29 2000 Shoreline Court Auto Burglary

At 0025 hours an Officer located a vehicle with the doors to the vehicle open. The victim was located and it was determined that nothing had been taken from the vehicle. The vehicle had been locked and it is unknown how entry was made. Case suspended due to lack of suspect information. Report# 14-1129-001

11/29 2800 Bayshore Boulevard Auto Burglary

Sometime between 2000 hours and 2200 hours an unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a black suitcase and a tote bag containing cash. Case suspended due to suspect leads. Report# 14-1129-002.
