Background to the Sport England Funded project.

In August 2015 BDSL were awarded funding to run a project called Link IN2 Sport. This project will provide community sports hubs across the district which will run multi sports activities with an overall aim to increase the number of disabled people taking part in sport physical activity and leisure. BDSL will work with partners to develop this project, one of these partners if HFT. HFT is a National Charity supporting people with learning disabilities and their families. BDSL will run two sports hubs within HFT facilities. These sports hubs will provide multi-sport activities to participants with the aim to link participants into more sustainable sports provided by BDSL or its partners. Your role will be key to ensure that the project is providing high quality multi-sports activities as well as encouraging and supporting participants to then take part in further, more sustainable sporting opportunities outside of the Sport England funded project.
