Salary:

In the region of £20,849 + 6% pension (Dependent upon experience)

Purpose of the Post:

To work within the Fundraising Team to develop existing and new streams of fundraising income through the engagement of volunteers and management of events. This will allow us to sustain and develop Cancer Support and continue caring for and supporting people and their families who are coping with cancer, in Bradford, Airedale and Skipton.

Reporting and responsible to: Fundraising Manager

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

·  Representing Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale to the public.

·  Delivering the fundraising strategy as part of the fundraising team and developing new fundraising activities to increase income.

·  Supporting and contributing to the fundraising team in all aspects of its work including volunteer support, community, events, communication and grant work.

·  Developing fundraising volunteer roles and responsibilities to support the work of the charity.

·  Recruiting, motivating and supporting fundraising volunteers from all walks of life.

·  Ensuring that sufficient volunteers are in place to support fundraising activities.

·  Supporting fundraising volunteers at events, collections etc. when required and providing training for volunteers when/if required.

·  Developing effective communication for working with volunteers and processes to ensure appropriate volunteer recognition.

·  Maintaining detailed records regarding volunteers observing data protection and confidentiality.

·  Ensuring all fundraising activities are undertaken in line with the Institute of Fundraising Codes of Conduct and Best Practice.

·  Being open to further development and training opportunities.

·  Having the availability to work outside normal office hours and weekends when required.

·  Having a current UK driving licence and use of a suitable vehicle.
