International Brokerage Event with F2F Meetings

On 24 May 2012the international Brokerage Event meet@nano will take place in Lausanne, back to back with the Swiss NanoConvention, in the frame of Lausannetec fair. Representatives of research institutes and companies from all over Europeand beyond will have the opportunity to learn about R&D projects in the field of nanotechnologies, material sciences industrial productionand public privat partnership as well as for technological cooperation. Visits to companies on 25 May allow an insight view of state of the art technologies.

The meet@nano event is organised by Euresearch and TeAm, the international network of NCPs in Lausanne in cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network in Switzerland to provide an international platform for research institutes and companies in the following fields: Nanotechnologies(energy harvesting, chemistry, health, sustainable development, safety), Materials ( biomaterials, health, electronics, mining) Industrial Production (resource efficiency, supply chain management, sustainable agriculture). A special focus is on the Public Private Partnership (PPPs) with the initiatives: Factories of the Future (FoF), Energy efficient Buildings (EeB) and Green Cars (GC).

Briefing with the Commission on NMP and PPP on24 May morning

Prior to the Face to Face meetings experts from the European Commission will introduce targets of the NMP and PPP Calls 2013 and give an outlook on the next framework program Horizon 2020. Successful coordinators and partners of FP7 projects will share their experiences, together with evaluators, in order to facilitate the setup of FP7 project consortia. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and develop new project ideas at international level and to initiate cross-border contacts.

Face to Face Meetings on 24 May afternoon

The aim of the pre-arrangedF2F Meetings is to facilitate R&D cooperation, accelerating innovation and initiating research projects by meeting potential co-operation partners in face-to-face meetings.Participants register with a co-operation profile with information on their technologies, products and services for the online catalogue. This enables participants to identify potential co-operation partners with complementary know-how before the event. TheF2F meetingsare then arranged for the participants by the organisers and take place during meet@nano. Networking becomes efficient and effective. All registered participants are provided free access to Lausannetec and reduced fee for the Swiss NanoConvention.

Company Visits on 25 May morning

On Friday morning meet@nano participants will have the opportunity to participate in two visits of facilities and companies active in the fields of nanotechnologies and materials.

The international Brokerage Event with F2F meetings on 24May 2012 in Lausanne is a platform to initiate international R&D projects in nanotechnologies, materials and industrial processesand to boost the innovation: event is supported by the European Commission. The pre-arrangedF2F Meetings are an excellent opportunity to meet potential co-operation partners. Participants upload their cooperation profile (offer or request) and choose in the cooperation catalogue who they wish to meet face-to-face for 30 minutes. Such pre-arranged bilateral meetings with companies and R&D institutions from Europe and beyond are very efficient to initiate international cooperation: According to participants’ feedback to such events,over 50% of meetings end in further cooperation steps!

The event takes place at the venue of Lausannetec, back to back with the Swiss NanoConvention. Participants of the F2F meetings are provided free access to the Lausannetec fair and reduced fee for the Swiss NanoConvention.

A social dinner on the evening before the meetings allow for informal contacts and getting in touch of charming “Suisse Romande”.Additionallycompany visitsin the field of nanotechnologies and materials will take place on 25 May 2012.
