The concept sheet has been submitted and the bone paper for thespecial issue of Journals of Gerontology is in process.
  • Feasibility Study funds – RFA
The next RFA for WHI feasibility funding opportunities is out. Proposals are due June 17th. A copy of the RFA was sent to the group and is also on SharePoint.
  • Applications are encouraged. Carolyn is planning on submitting a proposal onosteopenic women and their knowledge of fracture risk. Meryl expressed interest in collaborating with Carolyn.

  • Meryl (paper from Uriel Barzel who retired): Dietary protein and the disposition to fractures.Uriel submitted to NEJM a few years ago and was rejected.Meryl working on a draft; will hold for now. Andrea mentioned Jeanette Beasley published a similar paper and suggests Meryltalk with Jeanette before proceeding.
