Program Schedule:
Feb. 5 – Scott Sulprizio
Event Schedule:
Feb. 3 – Super Bowl Party
Feb. 9 – Sweetheart Dance
Feb. 9 - Raffle
Super Bowl Party: Tomorrow (Saturday) at 10:00 AM is the setup for the Super Bowl Party. We need to get the tables, chairs and TVs setup so we can enjoy the game Sunday. It should not take long to get things setup (probably about 2 hours if we get lots of help). The party opens at 2:00 PM Sunday, the game starts at 3:30 PM and will probably be over about 7:00 or 7:30 PM. Immediately following the game will be pickup (put the tables, chairs and TVs back where they are stored. Like most of our events, this one is a lot of fun. We had lots of members signup to help, be sure to be there if you signed up.
Tuesday Feb. 5 meeting: Next Tuesday is the final planning day for our Sweetheart Dinner/Dance. We will need all the help we can get to decorate that old barn at the Fair Grounds. We did a great job last year and it really impressed the people who came. This event is as much a community service project as it is a fund raiser. The big Raffle will also be held at the Dance so we have to get all those raffle tickets sold .
Tuesday is also another excellent program coming up. The speaker is Scott Sulprizio. Scott was an avid glider pilot (among other activities) and in 2001 he crashed and was badly injured. He ended up losing a foot and in reaction he developed a new prosthetic foot. His foot is now being used by paralympic atheletes. His story will make for another outstanding program.
Future programs: Lucy has been doing a fantastic job of scheduling programs, but she needs help. The committee responsible for programs for Jan., Feb. and March is: Mark Arighi, Skip Bolton, Joe Giomi, Fred Jones, George O’Keefe, Jay Recanzone, Ted Rudolph, Craig Stevens, Dave Talbot and David Fulstone.
Our success on these events is critical to getting a feel for what we can support in the future.
