  • Front Bear Hug - Arms Free:
  1. Knee to groin, clap ears, head twist take down – scarf lock submission
  2. Stomp foot, thumbs under jaw head butt to nose thrust back inside foot sweep.
  3. Elbow to nose scarf-lock
  • Front Bear Hug - Arms Trapped:
  1. Grab rib skin twist, foot sweep.
  2. Stomp foot, arm around hip throw
  3. Elbows out & drop, hand behind the Achilles tendon, the other hand knife hand on shin & push. Leg lockup
  • Rear Bear Hug - ArmsFree:
  1. Reverse elbow strike grab head twist & take down
  2. Reverse head butt break free back kick
  3. 123 Reverse elbow strikes, third strike arm follows past head comes back rook trap head, lift same side leg up & throw
  • Rear Bear Hug – Arms Trapped:
  1. Stomp toes,hip throw
  2. Back kick to chins, push elbows out drop laying back on legs
  3. Reverse head butt, back kick to groin, peel off fingers, fingers wrist lock
  4. Lean back raise arms up, shoulder lock

  • Single Hand & Double Hand Chokes:
Using softening strikes then the above self defence techniques escape, apply & lockup.
  • Multiple Attacks:
Multiple attacks - body grabs, chokes, bear hugs & knife strikes. Demonstrate dynamic self defence techniques.

  • Four Directional Self Defence Drill 3:
  1. (N) (A) Sparring stance (LF) forward, steps in Jab reverse punch to head. (D) Semi cat stance, (RH) palm heel block then outer crane block same hand traps (LH) crane strike to head, dropping twister throw.
  1. (S) (A) Sparring stance (LF) forward, steps in Jab to head reverse punch mid section. (D) Semi cat stance, upper crane block then lower palm heel block, (LH) checks (RH) rolling crane strike to head, wrist lock 180* takedown. Flip, arm-bar reverse wrist lock.
  1. (E) (A) Sparring stance (LF) forward, front kick steps in punch to head. (D) Semi cat stance, step out butterfly block, (RF) slides forward palm heel strike to head. Grab arm & shoulder, leg lifts hip throw.
  1. (W) (A) Sparring stance (LF) forward, front kick steps in punch to head. (D) Semi cat stance (LF) forward, sliding (LF) back same time(RH) blocks, (LH) check kick, (RH) upper rolling crane block. (LH) grabs (A) (R) wrist uppercut to chin.Dropping whip throw, arm-bar lockup, knife hand strike to neck.
Board Breaking:
  • 1 Board – Low leg sweep or spinning heel kick
