Oakwood Theme Park Seeks an Engineer

Oakwood Theme Park, located in the idyllic setting of Pembrokeshire, West Wales, has an exciting opportunity for anindividual to join its engineering team as a mechanical engineer.

This is a varied and challenging role and your responsibilitieswould include maintenance of all mechanical aspects of our white knuckle and family rides, as well as providing assistance to the varying departments of the park where required. Attention to detail, awareness to health and safety rules and regulations, planningand a pro-active approach is essential as Oakwood encompasses a range of challenges.

To be successful you will need to be:

  • Qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline and able to carry out site maintenance on site premises and theme park equipment.
  • Competent in mechanical engineering and able to show a wiliness to learn new skills
  • Proactive and able to work on individual projects as well as in a team
  • Enthusiastic and willing to work to planned maintenance schedules that coincide with park opening times and winter inspections
  • Able to react to problems and situations that arise and provide a solution that allows ride downtimes to be minimised to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Confident in working at heights
  • Confident and able to work in an environment that provides interaction with various departments and members of the public.
  • A holder of at least a City and Guilds Mechanical Engineer qualification or equivalent.
  • Committed to enabling our guests have a safe, fun, family adventure at Oakwood Theme Park.

This is a full time post which involvesa working week of 40 hours based on a departmental shift pattern and this also includes working early mornings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
