Blouse/Shirt - Powder Blue Short Or Long-Sleeved Blouse Or Collared Polo Or Turtleneck

UNIFORM DRESS CODE

These rules apply to all students from Kindergarten to Grade 8. All children should be in uniform on the first day of school. All clothing that might be removed during the course of the school day such as sweaters and sweatshirts should be labeled with the child’s name. The school cannot be responsible for lost clothing. Clothing should not be more than one size larger than the child’s size. The length of the shirts should end at the child’s wrist when arms are resting at side. Only a white t-shirt can be worn under the uniform shirt. No colored t-shirts are allowed. School uniforms can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Target, Penney’s, or School Belles.

Girls’ Uniforms:

Blouse/Shirt - Powder blue short or long-sleeved blouse or collared polo or turtleneck.

Slacks – Navy blue dress pants or corduroys. No denim/jean material.

Skirt/Skort/Jumper – Navy blue knee-length, no more than four inches above the knee.

Shorts – Solid navy blue walking shorts during August, September and June and must be at least mid-thigh in length. No basketball shorts.

Sweater/Vest/Sweatshirt – Solid navy blue or gray sweater/vest/sweatshirt with NO logos or designs or Kinzie sweatshirt.

Socks – Solid colored navy blue or white socks or tights.

Shoes – Solid colored dress shoes or gym shoes with matching laces. No light up gym shoes or boot style gym shoes.

Boots – Boots may only be worn during cold weather months.

Jewelry – One pair of post earrings…no hoops of any kind…watch, small ring, one necklace with religious medal/symbol only which must be worn under shirt/blouse. No nose, tongue, eyebrow, or cartilage jewelry.

Hair – No words, symbols, or patterns shaved in head. No multi-colored hair. No unnatural colors in hair (purple, pink, etc.)

Make-up is not allowed.

Boys’ Uniforms:

Shirt – Powder blue short or long-sleeved collared dress, collared polo, or turtleneck.

Slacks – Navy blue dress pants or corduroys. No denim/jean material. Slacks must be worn at natural waist.

Shorts – Solid navy blue walking shorts during August, September and June. Must be at least mid-thigh in length. No basketball shorts.

Sweater/Vest/Sweatshirt – Solid navy blue, or gray sweater/vest/sweatshirt with NO logos or designs or Kinzie sweatshirt.

Socks – Solid colored navy blue or white socks.

Shoes – Solid colored dress shoes or gym shoes with matching laces. No light up gym shoes.

Jewelry – One necklace with religious medal/symbol only which must be worn under shirt. Watches may be worn. No nose, tongue, eyebrow, or cartilage jewelry.

Hair – No words, symbols, or patterns shaved in head. No Mohawk/punk styles. No multi-colored hair. No unnatural colors in hair (purple, pink, etc.) Hair must be cut above the eyebrows and above the shirt collar.

Hats – All hats must be removed upon entering the building.

GYM ATTIRE

To be worn only on designated gym days:

Required attire: The official Kinzie gym uniform: Kinzie gray t-shirt or Kinzie gray sweatshirt and Kinzie navy blue sweatpants or Kinzie navy blue shorts purchased from Ray’s T-Shirts 6134 S. Pulaski, 773-767-7779. (No shorts can be worn from October 1 to May 31.)

Shoes/Socks: Gym shoes with white socks only.
