The Early Help Unit

The Early Help Unit provides a direct contact point for professionals and families wanting to access early help services in Nottinghamshire.

The opening hours of the Unit will be 9.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and its contact details can be found below.

To access services offered by Family Service or Children’s Centres (where the details of the local Children’s Centre is not known), please complete and send the Early Help Assessment Form http://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/caring/children/childcare/providers/childcaretraining/early-help-assessment/ to the Unit either by e-mail, fax or post.

If you are not using the secure e-mail address () please ensure all confidential information sent by e-mail is password protected.

The Early Help Unit will help young people, parents and carers to complete the form if assistance is required.

All requests will need to evidence that consent has been provided by the child, young person, parent or carer.

In addition the Early Help Unit will provide:

·  Information and advice for children, young people, families and professionals on early help services in Nottinghamshire.

·  Advise on the completion of the Early Help Assessment (EHAF) and hold a register of completed EHAF’s
