REPORT CARDS GO HOME MONDAY, OCTOBER 20th!
Attendance is SO IMPORTANT, your child needs to be here each day and on time! When they are not in the classroom they are missing those lessons for the day! BE AT SCHOOL, BE ON TIME AND READY TO WORK!
- Title 1 Parent Meeting will be Monday, October 20th at 7:30 a.m. and another meeting at 3:30 p.m. The meeting will be in the conference roomon the 6th grade hall.
- Scholars Bowl Match: October 22nd GBMS vs. Causey at 3:30 p.m. at Causey Middle School. The next match will be November 19th, GBMS vs. St. Dominic’s at 3:30 p.m. at St. Dominic’s.
- 1st Quarter Honors Assembly will be October 24th, we will honor A honor roll, A/B honor roll and perfect attendance. Please plan on attending. The assembly will take place in the gym. The times are as follows:
6th grade 7:45-8:30 7th grade 8:45-9:30 8th grade 9:45-10:30
- GBMS Spelling Bee will be Monday, November 17th; practice with Mrs. Pate started October 15th.
- Halloween Dance is Friday, October 24th from 6 to 8 pm in the gym! Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the door. Sponsored by PTO. Come in costume ready to dance, be scared in the haunted house, get your palm read and win the costume contest!!PTO membership drive thru Nov 1st PLEASE JOIN, it is $5.00. They are raise money for computers for YOUR CHILD to use at school!

*We are super proud of Addy Stringfellow for representing our school at the Drug Education Council Leadership Awards banquet. She was 1 of 150 students representing Mobile and Baldwin County. Way to go ADDY!!

SOMETHING NEW AT GBMS!
*Parents, Mr. Streety is starting a Robotics Team. If you or your company would like to make any donations please contact him! Monetary donations or HP 61 ink cartridges are very much needed! On the wish list is a 3 D printer! The team is creating a robot to compete in the BEST Competition, BEST stands for Boosting Engineering Science Technology!
