SATs WEEK:

SATs week begins Monday 13th May. Would all parents of children in Y6 please make sure your child is in school every day that week.

Health and safety

Please can all parents bringing and collecting children from Mrs Bellshaws classroom wait outside the children's learning and play area. This is following a younger child playing with the equipment after school, falling and bumping his head. Parents and children are not permitted in this area and will be asked to leave if seen.

The gate where Mrs Collins and Miss Knapps class are dismissed from will be closed at the beginning and end of the day. This is due to children running up and down the ramp leading up to the Year 5 classroom and around the area outside Miss Knapps classroom, near the building works. It is disruptive to learning but also dangerous for your children to be left unsupervised. Parents and children are not permitted beyond this gate and will be asked to leave if seen.

Bicycles / scooters

Please ensure your child walks their bike or scooter when on the school site. We have had a few near misses recently where adults and other children have nearly been hit by children riding about.

Dogs

Please remember dogs are not allowed on the school premises. (Assistance dogs excepted.)

Key Stage 2 SATs week

Year 6 will be assessed during week beginning 13th May in Reading, Writing, Spelling and Maths. Please ensure your child is in school every day and on time. All Year 6 are invited to attend breakfast club free of charge for the whole of this week. No need to book but an expression of interest given to Mr Adlington would be useful.

Children are rewarded for good behaviour and each class has a ‘Star of the week’, this will be announced in assembly and on the newsletter weekly.
