Reporting to: / Hires and Loans Supervisorand Media centre Technical Manager.

1 Purpose
To assist hires and loans staff with the booking in and out of equipment from room 101.
2 Duties and Responsibilities
2.1To undertake the preparation of equipment for students and staff wishing to borrow kit.
2.2To book kit out and in using the asset management system.
2.3Provide advice on equipment and assist in equipment maintenance as directed.
2.4To assist the workshop technicians in keeping the workshops clean and tidy.
2.5Informing security immediately in the event of an accident or injury.
2.6In the event of an accident, inform a member of staff with all the details of the incident as soon as possible in order for them to complete a report

The post holder reports directly to the Hires and Loans Supervisor and Media Centre Technical Manager

6 Essential Requirements of the post holder
Knowledge of a broad range of equipment used in Media, Film, Photography and Radio disciplines. Good computer literacy and customer facing skills.
