Vivian Dufour 95, of Houtzdale and a guest of Colonial Courtyard, Tyrone died Wednesday November 30, 2016 at Colonial Courtyard.
Born August 11, 1921 in Houtzdale, she was the daughter of Michael and Eliza (Sharpless) Archer.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Houtzdale.
Vivian enjoyed baking, needlework, bingo and talking to her friends.
On September 30, 1940 in Houtzdale she married Adolph (Jack) Dufour, who preceded her in death on March 3, 2000.
Surviving is a daughter Sandra (Larry) Dugan of Houtzdale, a son Richard (Deborah) Dufour of Osceola Mills and a daughter-in-law Dolly Dufour of Battle Creek MI.
Also surviving are five grandchildren Thomas Dufour of Chio, MI, Beth Ann Dufour of Woodstock GA, Lawrence Dugan of Mechanicsburg, Timothy Dugan of Mt Pleasant, Ian Dufour of North Huntingdon, nine great grandchildren Craig and Stephanie Dufour of Davidson MI, Diana Dufour and Justin Brown of Mt Morris, MI, Amber Dowland of Chio, MI, Alexander and Kaitlyn Dugan of Mechanicsburg, Kyra and Kiley Dugan of Irwin, and a sister Marion Hopkins of Houtzdale.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, a son Eugene, seven brothers, Edward, Thomas, Michael, Robison, Ambrose, Joseph, Stephen and three sisters, Gladys Domick, Margaret Glasshouser and Mae Campbell.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday December 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale with Rev. Robert Ford officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
