Biography of Late DR Samson Kwaje :
DR Samson Kwaje Manasseh Lukare a Pojulu by tribe from Moje Boma , Wonduruba Payam ,Lainya County Central Equatoria State Southern Sudan.
DR Samson kwaje
Was born in July 23,1952.His father Manasseh Lukare was a Sub-chief in Moje area his mother Maratha Kakune from Woli area of Wonduruba payam , DR Samson has two brothers and two sisters .he has brothers and sisters from his step mother .
Educational Background:
He started his primary school in Moje village school than transpired to Kator Elementary School in Juba. He went to his intermediate school in Polotaka Eastern Equatoria in late 1960.
Than accepted to St Savior Seminary school in Uganda during the break out of the War the first Struggle, than joined St Mary college in Kisubi Uganda .He was awarded the best grades to allow him to join faculty of Medicine but unfortunately due to Ugandan policy towards foreign students didn’t allow him to study medicine DR Samson has to look for alternative to take agriculture Science and gradated with bachelor degree .
(1970-1974 ) DR Samson was awarded scholarship to united state of America to continue his education in West Virginia University in which he obtained his masters and PHD.
Social Life :
DR Samson Kwaje survived with two wives , Mrs. Aida Omer and Mrs. Suzy Lukare ,Mrs.Aida was very sick with standing stroke for along time and was in treatment in South Africa ,and Suzy is in labor condition. Up to this time.she was taken by DR Samson to Uganda to deliver all of them came to Sudan to accompanied the body of DR Samson for burial. thanMrs. Suzy has been flown back to Uganda .
DR Samson Kwaje has seven children five girls and two boys ,Jimmy Samson is an engineer from Juba University .
Work Experience :
After the Addis Ababa Agreement DR. Samson was asked to return to Sudan to help in development in Southern Sudan .
He was appointed in ministry of Agriculture and forestry .in Southern Sudan Juba as Director for plant protection .than later on as Director general of ministry of agriculture and forestry .
1986 he was appointed a minister of finance in the government of General Peter Carrillo Equatoria Region for three years .
He married to Mrs. Aida Omer in Khartoum after his wedding he went for honeymoon in Nairobi Kenya his intention was to escape from Sudan because
He was monitor daily by security , he has to report to security office .
In Nairobi he joined (ICIPE) international Research Council as Director in which he ended up to join our struggle , Sudanese people Liberation Movement .
Political Life :
He became a member of Liberation Movement Political Bureau , Sudanese people Liberation movement ( SPLM/A )and Sudanese people Liberation Army
He became a chairperson for up-date news letter after that a spokesman for (SPLM/A) from (1990-2005).
In January 09th 2005.Sudanese people Liberation movement and Sudanese Liberation Army signed an agreement with NCP Sudanese National congress party in Nairobi Kenya the (CPA) comprehensive peace agreement DR Samson Kwaje was one of the Icon and a tough negotiator .
(2005-2008) He was appointed as minister of Information in (GOSS) government of Southern Sudan , the South Sudan TV we are enjoying today is one of his achievement . people of Southern Sudan will remember him for .
(2008-2010) He was appointed as minister of agriculture and forestry government of Southern Sudan .(GOSS) .
In April 2010 first election he became Election’s manager for Mr. Salva Kiir Mayar Deit First Vice president and president of Southern Sudan .after the election he was re-appointed as minister of agriculture and Forestry (GOSS) government .
The Course of his Death:
On July 12th 2010 DR. Samson became sick with swelling lower left leg and difficulty in breaching was evacuated by plan to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi Kenya .
His condition was diagnosed as kidney and liver failure characterised by bacterial infection in which he was admitted to an intensive care unit for (19) days and was operated on his leg during his treatment all the reports shows dramatic improvement as I was following his case with H.E John Androga in Embassy their .
On August 01,2010 they decided to take him for operation to clean his wound ,DR Samson could not make it out he passed away at 2:55 AM the medical report mentioned the course was kidney complication .we were automatically informed by Brig General MR. Santo Lemi Lomuro .a family member who came for visit .

Southern Sudan has lost a brain a compass to our promise land I wish him to See his fruits in referendum 2011.for the people of Southern Sudan .
Dr Samson Kwaje left a lot of problems especially the unity of our people and reconciliation pertaining to issue of separate county for Wonduruba in which he became a victim
In September 22,2009. When he was shot in Wonduruba payam and survived he should be the wayfor peace and unity and through him to solve this issue of Wonduruba .
Wonduruba Community is now in chaos shortly after his burial . I hope his departure will bring unity and peace to his people in Wonduruba and Pojulu communitybut to me things became impossible without him . He was our torch our leader our mentor our hero . The gape he left is now growing very wide and big healing will take a long time and wonduruba common people will suffer ,we are morning today for DR.Samson those who hared him and his enemies are rejoicing
They termed him a separatist refusing to work in Northern Sudan .as one of the member of Lukare family Wonduruba and pojulu community my wish his burial could be preform next to late DR.John Garang De Mabior grave as our hero and martyr ,I wish too that DR.Samson could be the last hero where his burial became a problematic .our (GOSS) government could think wise to create National Cemetery to burry our heroes and heroines .
I wish too to remember DR.Samson legacy the( GOSS)should build the technical school in Moje area and agricultural college any were in the Southern Sudan in his name as one of our family member Emanuel Lukudu mentioned during his prayers in Juba catholic Church , also the governor of central Equatoria could think of naming street in his name or build the monument In Juba since he was not buried there .
DR Samson Kwaje was a corner stone of Southern Sudan .Beloved son ,my kids will missed him his lovely voice when talking to them in the phone to study hard as he did . (Heroes never die ).
