Bids
We will be pleased to execute bids on behalf of intending buyers, and no charge is made for this service. Lots will be purchased as cheaply as permitted by other bids and reserves. Bids must be submitted to the Commissions Department by 5.00 p.m. on day preceding auction, and should be entered on the forms provided. Bids left by telephone will be accepted only on the condition that they are at the senders risk and must in any case be confirmed in writing. Bank references are essential. With regard to this service – Mealy’s accept no responsibility for items not viewed, whether condition report has been given or not.
* Intending buyers should note that bids are accepted in euro only. Payment for all lots purchased is to be made in euro. Bids sent by email may not be guaranteed, especially after the deadline. Please call the office to confirm any email bids. We accept no responsibility or liability for acts or omissions regarding any bids received after the deadline specified above.
Telephone Bidding
If you are unable to come to the auction it may be possible to bid on the telephone for higher value lots. Please note that this service is only for lots with an estimate of €200 euro or more. The number of lines is limited, so we would urge serious telephone bidding only and ask that you be prepared to bid over the top estimate. It would be advisable to leave a maximum covering bid in case we are not able to contact you by telephone. All lines must be booked and confirmed in writing before the day of the auction and preferably some time in advance. Telephone bidding involves many variables and whilst we take every care to ensure the smooth running of this service, we cannot be held liable if your bids are missed for any reason.

All cheques or drafts are to be made payable to “Mealy’s Fine Art Ltd.” Third party cheques or drafts will not be accepted as payment for lots purchased. DELIVERY: All lots must be paid for and cleared by 5:00pm on Friday 10th November 2017. All clearing is at the purchaser’s risk and expense. Any lots not cleared by 5:00pm on Friday 10th November 2017, will be subject to Clause 3 of the Buyers Conditions and will be held in storage at the purchaser’s risk and expense.
