Bid Scope of Work

General Conditions

  1. Click List canopy is shown as new on Fixture Plan. The above ground canopy will be handled by others .
  2. Repair all affected finishes to like new conditions.
  3. Paint newly installed / exposed conduit, refrigeration lines, and uni-strut on sales floor to match adjacent finishes.
  4. Any trenching and saw-cutting work is to be done during off-peak hours (after 9pm and off sales floor before 8am).
  5. Contractor to receive all deliveries related to the project.
  1. Contractor must email weekly updates and photos of areas as they pertain to the project. This must be completed every Wednesday before noon or as requested by project manager.
  2. Review all documents included in the bid documents before submitting your bid – including the existing store fixture plan, the proposed store fixture plan.

Refrigeration Systems

  1. Kroger will perform refrigeration work.
  2. GC will receive and set up coolers per plan.
  3. GC responsibility to do complete installation of the RTU.

Kroger Supplied Items

  1. Refrigerated walk in cooler/freezer.
  2. Non-Refrigerated Display Cases, shelves and racking.
  3. Case Protectors
  4. Light fixtures
  5. Millwork
  6. RTU & curb
  7. Labor for low voltage
  8. All doors, including entrance doors, cooler doors, hollow metal and sales floor door.
  9. Vinyl wallcovering
  10. Carpet
  11. Lighting contactor

Contractor Supplied Items

  1. Building – Electrical and Plumbing permits as required by local agencies.
  2. Labor for receiving and installing fixtures.
  3. Paint, drywall and finishing materials.
  4. Millwork installation labor
  5. Miscellaneous metals for case to wall enclosures and rat runs.
  6. Electrical components, wiring, conduit, etc.
  7. Bollards
  8. Roof penetration and flashing
  9. Labor to install all doors with exception to entrance door. Finished door opening GC responsibility.
  10. Labor to install all fixtures shown new on fixture plan.
  11. Acoustical ceiling tiles and grid.
  12. All building materials including but not limited to, meat studs, drywall, plywood, steel, concrete, asphalt, fencing above coolers and steel ladder.
  13. Salvage existing brick for infill areas demo.
  14. Any additional duct per plans.
  15. Prefabricated exterior rod hung canopy and downspout

General

Miscellaneous Items:

Electrical

  1. Refer to REQ (Excel Document) Documents, Electrical Tab.
  2. Lights must be on night set back panel / circuits.
  3. Install new case monitoring cables as required.Cable is a Belden Multi conductor cable, rating non plenum, Conductor size 18 Awg Number of pairs or cond. 2ea. Mfr “Part # YN55390 U1000. Kroger Tech will terminate cables
  4. Abandoned circuits must be removed to first junction box or panel.
  5. Correct panel schedule.
  6. Kroger Tech will terminate cables for low voltage, POS, phones
  7. All electrical, refrigeration and plumbing drop locations must be approved by Kroger PM prior to final connection.
  8. Lighting must be on night set back panel / circuits

Floor Repair (P.M.)

  1. Match surrounding slabs elevations.
  2. Concrete patches must be finished to a hard steel slick finish. Floor leveling compound is not allowed.
  3. Saw cutting – angled cuts are not allowed. Only parallel or perpendicular cuts with column lines are allowed.
  4. Abandoned hub drains and any mechanicals must be capped eight inches below finish floor elevation.
  5. Refer to slab cutting /removal. See saw cut detail.

Plumbing (PM)

  1. Refer to REQ (Excel Document) Documents, plumbing Tab.
  2. Refer to Architectural plans for wall framing and materials.

Week: 1 (November 1)

  • Work can be scheduled during the daylight hours but minimize disruption to store.
  • Contractor will receive and install Kroger supplied equipment as per plan.
  • Demo of exterior parking
  • Start electrical rough in
  • Canopy foundations, complete early and give Kroger PM completion date so canopy install can be scheduled three weeks before opening
  • Cut in new entrance door and complete
  • When excavating for communications/electric to canopy follow the crosswalk for pedestrians so underground will be camouflagedunder walkway

Week: 2 (November 8)

  • Work will be scheduled at night in order to minimize disruption to store.
  • Contractor will receive and install Kroger supplied equipment as per plan.
  • Demo interior per plans
  • Start tying in lighting
  • Kroger to move U scans Kroger will coordinate low voltage requirements & CCTV for scales and POS.
  • Partition work area from general public shopping area.
  • Start metal stud partition walls
  • Partition existing office and keep operational.
  • Rework HVAC per plans

Week: 3 (November 15)

  • Work will be scheduled at night in order to minimize disruption to store.
  • Set cooler and freezer boxes
  • Complete lighting
  • Set up racking
  • Décor on sales floor side
  • Hang sales floor door
  • Set up shelving along outside wall on sales floor side per Fixture plan

Week: 4 (November 22)

  • Work will be scheduled at night in order to minimize disruption to store.
  • Complete finishes inside and out
  • Finalize all work this week in preparation for punch list to be compiled next week.
