Power Up Tournament Rules and Information/

Doors Open / 7:00am
Coaches Meeting / 7:30am – coaches that cannot make the early meeting should check in at the concession stand
Official USAV Rosters / Please email a screen shot or pdf of your official USAV roster at least 24 hours in advance. You may also text 815-263-4088. We only need one copy per season if you will be attending more than one date, unless you have changes. Provide a hard copy only if you have to make changes the day of the tournament.
Start Time / 8:00 am
Warm-Ups / 1st match: 2 minutes shared (coin flip)/4 minutes serving team/4 minutes receiving team. Every other match: 3 minutes serving team/3 minutes receiving team. No ball handling during off times. 2 minutes between sets.
Ref Assignments / Up refs provided. Coaches should remain by the court to help monitor players – all teams are required to stay through all assignments
Volleyballs / Please provide your own volleyballs
Pool Play / Please check your schedule for pool play. 2 sets to 25. 4 team pools. Top two finishers in each pool advance to gold round. Bottom two finishers in each pool advance to silver round.
Tie-Breaking Procedure: 1) win-loss record, 2) head-to-head (includes head-to-head point differential), 3) total point spread of all pool play matches, 4) coin toss
Playoff rounds / Best 2 out of 3 sets with first 2 sets to 25 points and a 15 point 3rd set. Must win by 2 points, no cap. Matches may start ahead of the time on the schedule.
Coolers / No Outside Food. Concessions are provided. This location runs its own concessions separate from Power Up. There are plenty of restaurants and two grocery stores in the vicinity if you would like different options than what is provided.
Spectators / Entry Fee for Spectators: Adults $5.00 | Students/Seniors $3.00
Roll-out bleachers provided, but spectators can bring chairs as long as they remain outside of playing area
Spectator Seating / Rollout bleachers provided at each court. Spectators are allowed to bring in outside seating as long as it doesn’t interfere with the playing area.
Behavior / Iowa Region and Power Up Volleyball have strict standards for positive behavior. Any poor behavior should be reported immediately to the tournament director so that it can be handled appropriately. Spectators may be removed from the facility for poor behavior.
Awards / First Place in Gold Championship receives a medal
Series / Points are awarded to teams and a series champion is recognized at the end of the tournament season. Series leaders can be viewed online.
All-Tournament Team / Coaches will vote after pool play on players that showed exceptional playing/sportsmanship. (Coaches do not vote for their own team). In order for your players to be voted on, your coach must submit a completed All-Tournament Vote sheet after pool play. Results will be posted by the Wednesday after each tournament.

Additional Directions/Courts / Enter through door 54. You can see this entrance easily by finding the windows that have pictures on them. Once you enter, take a right and signs will direct you to the PE Center.
