Here is a list of the assignments that correspond with the biweekly spelling/vocabulary word lists. Every other Friday the students will be quizzed on the spelling words and definitions. All assignments will be checked on the day of the quiz. Please assist your child with chunking these assignments and fitting them into your daily schedule.

Day 1(Monday):

Complete an index card for each vocabulary word and definition.

Day 2(Tuesday):

Divide and mark spelling words on printed list.

Day 3 (Wednesday):

Use vocabulary words to fill in blanks.

Day 4(Monday):

Write a sentence for each vocabulary word. Your sentence must show understanding of the word. (6 word minimum)

Example: The gnat continued to irk me during dinner because it was flying around my food.

Day 5(Tuesday):

Day 6(Wednesday):

Word Work: Write each spelling word on the line, scoop and mark each syllable and vowel.

Day 7(Thursday):
