PROGRAMMED ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION
Delivers the precise amount of air/fuel to each cylinder. The result is an easy start and instant throttle response with superior fuel efficiency.
ECOMO
Along with Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection, the BF90 incorporates Lean Burn Control technology, which allows combustion to operate on a leaner air/fuel ratio than stoichiometric air/fuel. An O2 sensor, together with the ECM, precisely controls the air/fuel mixture for the best fuel economy at cruise setting. The mode in which lean burn control is used during cruising to achieve higher fuel economy is referred to as ECOmo
(Economy Controlled Motor).
VTEC
VTEC synchronises the lift and duration of the intake valves both at low rpm and at high rpm. This yields a longer, flatter torque curve which means max power at every speed.
BLAST
A quick movement of the throttle control activates the BLAST TM system, advancing the ignition curve aggressively. 'Hole shot' is vastly improved as more horsepower gets the hull up on plane quicker.

Adjusts to your comfort for easiest hull manoeuvrability.
TORSION DAMPENER
Sometimes called a flywheel, it is located near the base of the powerhead. This design lowers the centre of gravity for improved handling and hull manoeuvrability.
ENGINE ALERT SYSTEM
Uses visual, audio and rpm reduction circuits to alert the operator of overheating, low oil PSI and over-revving, preventing engine damage.
CORROSION PROTECTION SYSTEM
A patented 'double sealed' multi-layered paint process. Sacrificial anodes and stainless steel technology, along with waterproof connectors, all enhance corrosion protection.
EASY MAINTENANCE
Easy 'screw-type' valve adjuster system requires no shims and reduces maintenance costs. Front-mounted oil filter and oil filler make for easy maintenance.
HIGH PERFORMANCE GEARCASE
Designed to get you going faster, this all new gearcase reduces drag, eliminates hull porpoise and minimises spray, thus increasing acceleration and top speed.
