NEXT MEETING SATURDAY 11th NOVEMBER2.30pm
St Chad’s, Campleshon Road, York
Recital by Phillip Sangwine, AGM and book sale
St Chad’s is approximately half way along Campleshon Road on the North side, opposite the Terry’s factory. There is a car-park by the West End of the church and free parking is also available on Campleshon Road.
- We start with a recital by our President, Phillip Sangwine, he has chosen an excellent programme which will show off the fine instrument by George Benson and it includes: Fantasia and Fugue in c minor (BWV 537) by J.S. Bach, Chorale no. 3 in a minor by Cesar Franck, The War March of the Priests by Mendelssohn and Suite Gothique by Boellmann Op. 25.
- After a short break we will then hold the annual general meeting.
- Finally books and back copies of OR will be available. These have been kindly donated by Maureen Murfitt Swindells. If you have any organ music, books or perhaps even records, cassettes or CD, that you don’t want please bring them along and then hopefully they will go a good home! Donations to the association’s funds will be gratefully received! I am very grateful to Bob Batchelor and The Rev’d Simon Stanley for allowing us to hold this at St Chad’s.

Christmas Social Evenings at 4 Greencliffe Drive,
Friday 1st December / Wednesday 6th December/ Friday 8th December: 7.30pm – 10pm
Members are welcome to drop in at my house for a mince pie and coffee (or something stronger !) at any time between the times above. As my house is of fairly modest proportions I cannot really accommodate more than about 8 at any one time! So it would be helpful if you could phone or e-mail me confirming when you can come – if more than one date is possible for you please indicate preferences. I will try to create three equal sized groups. Parking is restricted in Greencliffe Drive – I have space for one car on my drive and two can usually park next door (to the left) at No. 6. You can park in the evening on Clifton Dale or the side of Clifton Green between Clifton Road and Water End. As viewed on the map below my house is at the top of Greencliffe Drive on the left about half-way between Water End and the sharp turn in the road.
